Haha - yeah I love my cheese and you just don't get the variety and quality with American cheeses - they all seem to be rubbery and over-processed...

Still trying to curb this freaking out... Feel like the next three/four days is a lifetime!!! Hate it, hate it, hate it!! *stamps feet*

*sighs mournfully* Mark sooooo doesn't understand about the cheese issue - and I love british cheeses! Did manage to get some (very expensive) from the Brit Shop there and he tried it and just said it was nice and kind of shrugged.

You must be in a dither of both excitement and worry Aly! I'm bad enough just knowing Mark will be here next week... I'm sure everything will work out fine for you!

Yeah - Jeremy fortunately never realised why I went on about cheese so much. Then he came here and tried real cheese  He takes about £20 worth home with him each time he visits now!! Heheh :D

And yeah - I am a mess... not so bad as debz though - she leaves tonight at 7pm to go to London tomorrow... I think some of my ansiness might be passive nerves from her!!!

Haha - yeah will defo have to do that!!! Went to FL when I was 12 in 1994 and did all the theme parks etc - would love to go back now I am a bit older although am thinking road trip down to the keys and the everglades would be cool as was too young to appreciate it last time!! Will have to pop in for a coffee or something on the way!! Hehe :D

It is nice to have something concrete. I know that we laughed so much when we realised that we were talking to a wedding planner but they were the first people we spoke to and we just knew it was the right thing to do - we went for it! The first venue for the ceremony and the reception were both perfect as well - like it was meant to be :luv:

You and debz will both be fine, Jeraly!

I'm certainly looking forward to having something concrete...

Alex and his parents are still insisting that we can have the ceremony/reception at their house, which I personally don't mind, but I'm concerned that my relatives might. After all, they'd be taking a lot of time and money to travel over for what would essentially be a house party

Morning Charles :)

Yeah Rachel - I know where you are coming from :) You can always opt for an outdoor wedding - I know that we are not having to pay a site fee because we are getting married outdoors and it is beautiful :) Just have to hope it doesn't rain!!!

Are you having the reception outdoors, too?

Outdoor weddings are fun, though! My friends have actually advised me to have one as 'that's half the fun of getting married in America!'

Hmm, it's certainly something to consider...

Reception is at Heartline Cafe, Sedona, AZ if you want to google it - it is really pretty and cute and just fits what we wanted perfectly. We're not paying a site fee there either - we are getting married on a Monday (NEXT MONDAY!!!!) so I think that has helped with some of the costs/availability as it isn't a common day to get married :)

What did you do in Telly Maven?? Very interested as I had a short spell in TV land myself

I worked for the company that made Changing Rooms, Ground Force, etc. and of course (how could I forget?) Big Brother. I was the assistant to the Chief Exec, and it gave me a fascinating insight into just how crazy people can become when they work in that sort of environment. I will never forget the morning I went into work after the Changing Rooms episode where the woman went into her "improved" room (where they had hung pictures of her and her husband as Nell Gwynne and Samuel Pepys!) and she was just bawling, she had hated it so much. It was all over the front page of the Sun about how the show had ruined her home and how cr*p the execution of the DIY had been as well, beyond just being ugly.

I went in expecting crisis, and everyone senior was just laughing, saying any publicity was good publicity, and she was just a whinger who had had her 15 minutes. I was totally appalled. Bear in mind that this was 1998, and reality TV as we now know it was really in its infancy, so participants weren't expecting to be made laughing stocks of in the way they are now. I was pretty sad that they thought it was fine and even admirable to do this to people.

That wasn't the room that had a lot of red, was it?

I must confess I used to watch Changing Rooms and Ground Force...sad to hear about the attitudes of the senior staff :(

Sounds like a fascinating job!

I think that people like that are the reason I left too, I worked in a company that was very small and pretty unsucessful and the Owner/Producer still behaved like she was running a multinational. Stayed too long in that job

Edited to add:

Guess what I finished one of the four Affidavits!!! The boy promises to do his mum's one tonight. I will get this thing send off soon.
