Hi, I'm here. I just usually reply when I see something I think I can contribute to. So I suppose if others do that too, it has a reverse momentum effect.

Plus, Jeraly is freshly immigrated, and Maven's probably fluthered on Burbon Street!

How's the house stuff going Julez? Maybe someday long in to the future, in a land far away I will own a small dwelling....

what do you do dev? And what depts would be available?

I'm very nervous about entering a new jobs market. I suck at networking, and it's pretty much a requirement in the film business. I'm always wayyy to obvious. Ohhh, you're working on THAT, ummm, are there any vacancies....

In a totally unrelated vein: I just realised that if you click the orange box to the left of the thread title, it takes you to the posts that are new since you read the thread last!!! Amazing!!! :star:

Don't be afraid to be really obvious - it's LA, after all. Excessive praise of oneself and others is not only tolerated, it's actively encouraged. And don't express a negative opinion on any film or television show unless you are positively, absolutely sure the person you are talking to is not associated with it in any way. And practice saying things like "Dane Cook is the most exciting comedian working today" with a straight face in the mirror.

We will be closing on the new house on or about the 28th of July - the day after we return from our trip to the UK. I'm very excited about the move, especially since we'll have about 50% more living space than we have now! Of course, since it is an older home, we'll have plenty of work to keep us busy (like that's ever a problem!!). But still, a fresh start will be good for all of us - the good news is that the kids are pretty excited about the whole thing!

We're still not quite ready to put our house on the weekend, but since we've a long weekend upon us, we're just going to buckle down and finidh up all the odds and ends and have agreed with the realtor, that come Tuesday next, the house is on the market. Hopefully it will be a quick sale! Houses in my neighborhood have been selling like hotcakes, we can only hope our house will be no exception to that rule!!

In the meantime, let's try and keep this thread a happening place to be!! :star:
