Well, I for one am freaking EXHAUSTED. We set out in about 9 hours. Tonight we went for a long walk and talked and talked about how much we are going to miss it here and all the friends we've made. New Haven is and always will be home for me, but now it's become something of a hometown for Bruce too.

I'll miss you, my beautiful Elm City. :(

(F) Why are you moving to L.A. anyway?

I've got moving fatigue. I'm sick of worrying about it. I just want to go and do it.

Are you taking Aly´s job now? :D

My future mother-in-law seems bent on interfering (with the best intentions) with my plans for a quiet and simple wedding ceremony... I have the horrible feeling that this could all spiral out of control if I'm not very careful *sighs* She just can't seem to get her head around the idea that I don't want a lot of fuss.

That has recently happened to lots of our VJ friends here. They were all freaking out about it and then after it was over they said it their wedding day was a lot of fun :) So try not to stress about it too much :)

Oakwood works out at about $2600 per month, so, for that money, we would be better off just staying in a hotel for a week or two, and finding somewhere longer term. Sigh.

My husband's an actor -- it was LA or NYC and we'd had enough of winter. None of that winter right now -- we're in Tuscaloosa, AL tonight. It is HOT and sticky, and there was a gigantic thunderstorm this afternoon. The parking lot at the motel flooded! Bruce is next to me, playing the guitar while we watch Cops in air conditioned comfort.

Jeraly -- mega good luck tomorrow! It is pretty surreal on your last night, but at least you have Jeremy with you for the flight. Best of luck and I can't wait to hear your first report about Palm Springs -- I will make sure to let you know if we are passing through on our way to LA. :star:

Awwwwwwww. ((((((Big hugs, Aly))))))) Yes, it's normal. It will pass. And soon you'll be home. post-21394-1214744762.gif Have a safe trip. :) You too, Maven. (btw... I've been to Hagerstown. )

I am SO glad it is normal... Although I am not sure that being up at 7am drinking beer is... Had a REALLY heavy night last night - my mum was getting uber upset and I was trying to be calm. I can't remember anything past 9pm though but apparently we didn't go to bed until midnight... I can't remember that

Someone needs to - my day has come... without Debz around to stress (oh how I can't wait to call her when I get there!!) and with me moved (I am so not going to stress about AOS... famous last words though  ) someone needs the stress queen crown!! Notice it always seems to be us females though...

Yeah - BBS was TOTALLY stressed about it until she got her wedding registry :) And from the pics in her proile she looks like she had a great time :D

I'm ok for the moment - said goodbye to mum which was hard but no tears really - I think I am all cried out. I think it has hit her a lot harder than she was expecting - yesterday really was an emotional D-Day, saying goodbye to my brothers, grandparents... today has been mum (she is going to call me when I am at the airport and I kinda wish she wouldn't - I just want to put the sadness behind me...) and dad is taking me to the station along with mum's other half... I can't wait til that part is over - we have a few more hours... The cat is in ready for me to take her to the vet and I have to go to the bank... I kinda need to take a shower but I am getting in my net time early as we have to take the computer to pieces shortly.

Bleh - I hate this :(

Morning / Afternoon ^_^

Hope Aly has a smooth journey with no delays or problems along the way :star:

Good luck to Poiteen, elmcitymaven, and anyone else planning a move or moving right now (I have trouble keeping up with this thread lately).

I'm not currently too stressed about moving, though I'm sure I will be nearer the time, I'm just sick to death of every conversation I have being about the wedding... it's getting on my nerves, and I'm really wishing we'd just planned to elope instead. I won't enjoy it until it's over and I can enjoy remembering it without any of the stress.

At least the weather is pleasant here, I'm very happy to be missing the really hot part of the Kansas summer.

Waiting on the EAD, AP, and AOS
