Haha, that's awesome!

Good afternoon. :) What a miserable day it is here...non-stop rain.

Sports yamulke! Awesome.

My policy paper is going to the printer right now -- got the sign off yesterday. I am a happy bunny. And it's my birthday this week -- friends and family are going to take me out for dinner at a cheese restaurant. Yes, a cheese restaurant! It is sooooo scrummy. Here's the website: http://www.caseusnewhaven.com/ It's also a cheese shop as well.

Yay! Happy week everyone! :D

A cheese restaurant??!?! *faints* *goes to book a ticket to New Haven*

I spent last night drinking pitchers of beer with my fellow Westside Detroiters watching our beloved Wings choke in triple overtime. We almost had it in the bag (and the Stanley Cup being polished in the dressing room), but with only 40 seconds to go Pittsburgh equalized. Oh well, I guess I have another excuse to drink beer during the week.

I want to love cheese, but too much dairy makes me so uncomfortable and bloated!

However...I think I can afford to have a little cheddar on my vegetable mash tonight. Mm, cheesy mash!

Don't forget the shop too. It is filled with cheeses from all over -- plenty of English, Welsh and Irish cheeses (didn't see any Scots varieties), French a-plenty (lots of the stinky gooey stuff I love), Spanish, Italian, American artisanal, etc etc. And then preserves, and mustards, and lovely breads and crackers, and all these nummy saucissons and salamis and other sausage type products.

They also do home tastings! My supervisor had a cheese tasting night a few months ago. The Caseus folks came out to his house with all these cheeses; my supervisor provided the wine. I am seriously going to miss this place. :crying: I am partial to the French Onion soup and the frites are totally amazing.

Robin -- don't I remember hearing you say you and your husband had this idea for a cheese delivery service on a motorbike? It had a really funny/punny name...

I have the same problem, but you can get these chewable tablets from Walgreens called lac-taid. You chew one right before you eat dairy and it helps keep you from bloating.

I just emailed all the foodies I work with the link...we're all drooling over the cheese restaurant!

Cheesey Rider!

 I love it!

I also love this from the Caseus website:

OUR GOAL IS TO PAMPER YOU WHILE EATING AT CASEUS. ANY REQUEST WILL BE CONSIDERED WITH THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
