I'd just like to note, here in Off Topic, how hilarious I find it every time someone typos their fiancé as their 'finance'

it happens pretty regularly... why don't people re-read posts before submitting, for Og's sake?

 I find that funny too - but I must say I can't be bothered to re-read my posts... I just figure most people here are clever enough to figure out what I mean and they can get a giggle from it :D Those that can't figure it out, I can get a good laugh from

My university dissertation was 8,000-9,000 words long. I wrote it in two days, three days after it was due in... Turned out to be one of my highest marks in the final year, even with the 10% automatic reduction for handing it in late. :hehe:

Good luck with writing it, maven! And I strongly recommend not doing what I did. :P

Wow - if we submitted ours late I am pretty certain you could only get a pass which was 40% - mine were blissfully on time and I did great on both of them :D I enjoyed writing them though (in that kinda love-hate thing).

Oh - if we handed in the rest of our coursework late then that was an automatic fail, but as my degree was in architecture the dissertation was considered one of the least important parts of our final year. ;)

I'm hoping for some sunshine, too! It's looking fairly bright though at the moment. :)

That's awesome! Kris and I are hoping to get a house next summer. I know the market keeps dropping so that is good... plus we will qualify for a first time home buyers program.

Oh, Julez!.... I will be in your neck of the woods next month! Flying into Buffalo on the 10th so I can be home for Mother's Day. Flying back out again on the 19th, but will be staying in Buffalo the 17th, 18th, and 19th. My parents are bringing me back to the airport but we are staying the weekend first. They'll probably tuck themselves in early, so maybe we can meet at the Wegman's!

Regarding the house I am *nail biting* but super excited! The down market is certainly in our favor.

Ooh - what is a first time home buyers program? How do you find out about that? I am wondering if we could find something similar in Cali...
