Hi all -- I've been off-line since Thursday night because of two inter-related events:

1) Friday I had a day trip to Washington DC for a meeting (yep, flew down in the morning and back in the early evening); and

2) I contracted a vicious case of food poisoning at the restaurant I ate at during the meeting.

I'm pretty sure it was the salad -- when I was eating it, I was thinking, "hmmm, this doesn't taste quite right" but I was desperate for some greens so I ate it. I thought I was being so good choosing it over the french fries. Now I wish I had had the fries! I am still recovering from the vomiting, fever and body pains.

And this was at the effing Ritz-Carlton!

Well look on the bright side... not only did you not consume the excess calories from the fries, but you *also* prolly lost a bunch of extra weight... now I need to find somewhere like that before I have to get into my dress in June again

Aly, maybe you said somewhere before, but do you mind me asking, why are you guys waiting till August for the legal ceremony?

And also I WANT MY VISA NOWWWW!!!! I have been a very patient good likkle girlie, and I didn't mind waiting all this time, but I realllllly hate it when people have my passport, and I want it back, and I want the visa in it, thank you very much.

Hope not. My mom is convinced it was some sort of norovirus, but I've had that before and this was not the same thing.

I just cheered myself up by having frozen yogurt.

Glad to hear that your able to eat again Maven, hope it doesn't put you off salad for life!! Food poisoning can be a very powerful memory that causes people not to want to eat that food ever again. It was good for evolution, but bad if it makes you not want to eat salads

it's funny cos I say 'ye' for you plural sometimes - It's an Irish thing- so I can sometimes pick up on y'all from my Texan MIL, but those spellings, no no no.
