Ok REALLY need to know soon if anyone can help. I was in the army reserves prior to going off to basic training. Unfortunately 2 days before graduation I was sent home with a medical discharge. Neutral. When I left and filed all my forms they told me that after 6 months it would be as if I never was in the military. That there would be no records accessable or anything. My history would basically be wiped since I didn't TECHNICALLY finish basic. Well now that I've ordered my tax transcripts, my third year back (2003) will have military pay on them, but the military job was not listed in the I-129F. Is this going to be a huge problem? I mean we have a cosponsor so they don't exactly need those tax transcripts, but for approving the I-129F, am I going to run into problems? I didn't even think about it until I called the IRS yesterday. I'd love to call the head of my old unit and find out, unfortunately they've just been deployed...any ideas guys? I'm DESPERATE for any sort of answer.

THX in advance!

~Kiya

I would have listed it as a job.

Yeah I should have, and now I'm freaking out because I'm going over the copy of the forms the lawyer filed and not ONLY did he not copy BOTH SIDES of my birth certificate, but he also listed my ex-husbands birthday as 3 years earlier than it should have been. He typed a 1 instead of a 4. Are we completely screwed now?

Not sure. But I would ditch the lawyer when you adjust. Unless your case is complicated in some way.

There will always be a record of you being in the military.

Didnt they give you a DD214 when they released/discharged you???

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

I wasn't given anythign upon discharge, I was told to turn in my paperwork at the 1016th, and left empty handed. With any luck monday I'll have my sorry excuse for a law firm contacting someone ANYONE to solve this problem and the others. Should I ask for this form specifically?

That's funny. I would write a short letter and send it certified with return receipt. He should take that seriously.
