Package 3 and waiting

Ok so 2 weeks ago i called the embassy just to find out that my package was sent at the begining of december...i told em that i did not receive anything yet ( january ), i go to the post office and ask how long does it take for a package , documents, anything like that to get from where the embassy is to here and they said that it shouldnt take more than 24 hours. I call the embassy again and ask for another package 3 to be sent ( that was last week ) now i'm still waiting..i have no idea what to do and yes i am losing my mind, am very stressed and feeling lifeless . My fiance keeps telling me call em but i really dont wanna stress them out with all the phone calls that i already made and again other calls. I did look on their website for the files but most werent there that are suppose to be included in package 3.

You can download some of the forms here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1forms (it's the DS-ones) but of course will have to wait for specific instructions from the local consulate on what else you will have to submit. If you haven't done so yet, start gathering documents like birth and police certificate, passport pics (US style) and evidence of an ongoing relationship and support (I134).

Hang in there and calm down. Did they tell you that they will resend package 3? Than you should receive it soon. I don't think the embassy uses express delivery (the 24hour thing), they didn't do it in my home country and it always took 2 or 3 workdays for the mail to be delivered. Plus the time they need to resample the package. If you don't get anything within a week from now I can only agree with your fiancée - call them again, or email them. I felt I always received better advise on questions I emailed to the consulate than when I called the info-line.

woot! got the package this morning!!! is it weird if there is no DS-230 part 2?? all the papers are there but that. maybe they dont use it anymore?

Glad to hear it. the second part of ds-230 is a sworn statement that must be completed with a consular officer. Good luck getting all the other things you need.

Yes, they will provide you with that directly at the interview to sign it before the consul.
