I can tolerate the sound of someone's sputtering arsehole, just not the smell... Once at my old job in CA some guy in the one of the stalls was blasting his guts into the water and the smell that wafted out from under the door was strong enough, and heavy enough that I felt physically ill. That's power... and not in a good way.

That was so vivid, it was like was right there. Bring a lighter with you into the stall. I've found that a lit candle at home works the best at getting rid of the smell quickly.

I dunno - that was so bad that you probably couldn't lift the smell without washing down the walls and repainting the place. If the guy went around all day farting like that in his jeans I wonder how he can get the smell of Cheetos out of the seat of his pants...

I don't think they're doing this "in an effort to help Larry Craig." I think it's because police are harassing gay men who have sex in public in general. There's been sort of a witch hunt in Minneapolis-St. Paul after Larry Craig.

In other news, at that wedding I went to last weekend, a girl sidled up to the bar and informed me that she had just had sex with the DJ in the bathroom. Later I went to the bathroom and tried to make my best guess about which stall to avoid.

Just out of interest... did she say ladies' restroom or merely "restroom" to you at the bar last weekend? The reason I ask is because I assume she had sex with a man (correct me if I'm wrong here) and so it's entirely possible she could have been speaking about the mens' restroom instead. It's a moot point now, since the wedding is over, but if that were the case, you wouldn't have had to bother guessing which stall she and the DJ "did the deed" in at all.
