Still waiting.....

I am still waiting for my I-29F approval, had two RFE's, got the second on Christmas Eve, needless to say, the holidays sucked. To top it off, I had to respond by Jan 9th, great, 9 freaking working days because of the holidays.

The first RFE was my fault, the second, USCIS fault. What can you do? You call, get someone who has no idea how to give proper support or answer a question. Page three of my 2nd RFE had the wrong receipt #, I called about it because I was concerned that what they were asking for was incorrect. The woman on the phone said "don't worry about it, probably a typo." WHAT?? Don't worry about it?? If we send something to them filled out incorrectly, we get hammered.

Oh, well, had a touch yesterday and today, not felling to positive though after the 2nd RFE.

Tonight I decided to send a message to Senator McCain via his campaign web site, probably fruitless but what the hell, it only took a few minutes of my life. Here is what I sent.

I want to support Senator McCain but there is only one thing that is preventing me from doing so, his stance on the immigration issue.

I am trying to bring my fiancée here to the states so we can marry after having to move back unexpectedly due to a death in the family 1 year ago, I have had nothing but delays from USCIS.

Why should someone who came here illegally be granted amnesty? Receive benefits, health care & education when they came here illegally? Why REWARD someone for breaking our laws?

There are literally thousands of our fellow Americans trying to bring their loved ones to our GREAT country and we are met with delays and roadblocks because of the lack of funding and manpower for USCIS.

I feel slighted because I am doing everything LEGALLY to be reunited with my fiancée and there is no end in sight with the bureaucracy and red tape.

It is my hope that Senator McCain will have a change of heart on his stance in regards to the immigration issue, if he does, he will have my vote and support. If not, then there is no candidate, Democrat or Republican that is worthy of the vote that I have earned and served my country proudly for.

I thank Senator McCain for his lifelong service to our GREAT country.

Sorry to hear about that. May I ask what the second RFE was in regards to? One RFE is bad enough, a second I couldn't imagine. Hang in there. The good news is if this is finally cleared up with the evidence you submitted, the time from CSC to embassy is relatively short. You will probably have your interview along with a number of us who will be waiting since there are no interviews scheduled for February.
