I tried that Sprint card and it didn't give me a good rate to a JA cellphone. It was about .18-.20 a minute, and it cost m elike $20 to buy it. is that the card you use?

Yes, didn't know what the rate was to Jamaica though :(

Do remember that with this offer though, the rates are halved....

I also always use pre-paid disposible calling cards so I had no record to send in with the petition, so I didn't bother showing phone calls. I included 6-8 emails both ways (translated), 6 photos, and I made 12 trips to Costa Rica in the past 2 years (so I included about 15 boarding passes that I still had). It was accepted without a problem.

I recommend using the "clean and stable" card from www.uniontelecard.com They give great rates to landlines (Cell phones are high). It lets you download your call activity for a one month period. The statements show which number you called on what date and for how long. I pay 2.2 cents a minute to Peru, with no additional fees (connection or maintenance).

You have to call a local access number, not a 800 number to get the best rates. It also has speed dial so you just hit 1#. I store the access code with a pause (hold down the # key when you are entering the number into your phones memory). This makes the call all of 4 buttons (Speed dial key to call card, send tones button with hard pause, then the speed dial key of whom I am calling, followed by the # key. You also have to purchase a minimum of $20 to receive the best rate, but this is easy to burn up when talking to your loved one. http://www.uniontelecard.com/phonecards/20...ean-and-stable/

Good luck

I used www.dial55.com sometimes, but that is for calls to Brazil.

I always paid more since I was not calling Rio or Sao Paulo (although my husband's city is like the 8th largest in the country) and because he only had a cell phone (no landline). Grrrr
