PLEASE POST YOUR EXPERIENCE WHEN FILING A CRBA AND US PASSPORT FOR YOUR CHILD...

Depending how busy they are...

It took us 2 weeks after submission of the requirements.. I even had to call them to put a rush on it, cause I needed to get back in the US. I have a job waiting for me..

You can always call them and they can always make an exception depending on your reason..

i had acquired CRBA and passport for my daughter.

It is ok even one parent appear in USEM (at least from my experience).

Just make sure all the papers that the father has to fill up and answer are ok.Other requirements are all together.

Once you have called the Fed ex pick up your application, the USEM will contact you maximum of 2 weeks waiting.

they will call and inform u your shedule of appearance in USEM.

Its 1 month before your schedule appearance(again from experience)

Only me and my daughter appear in USEM.

its easy.

its ok its so easy the interview, they gona ask u a few questions about u and your husband before the child concieve.but if they not convince they gona ask dna test for ur husband and ur baby, most of the applicant there eventhough the parents are married already they required dna test still, they did the test in u.s.a accredited lab. there coz my fiance is there,my fiance bought the kit, they send it to st.lukes ,since ur husband is coming here u can do all the test in st.lukes ifever the embassy give u the instructions after the interview,i payed 1500 at st.lukes for collecting only and they send it back to the u.s,,,,after 2weeks they send the result to the embassy

interview is easy, you just have to prove your relationship, only when consul have doubt upon the conception of child and some other information in the application that will cause for them to doubt. Then they will request for DNA test.

we didnt go through that process. it was a breeze. and hope for you too.

BTW, if your child is able to talk, the pre screener can ask him simple question too.

Like, whos your Daddy?

It was fun hearing my daughter tell pre screener.

So relax..

We were scared too.. Cause we just showed up in the interview. We didn't bring any documents with us..

When we got to the Interview everyone was bringing Photo Albums, and some are still getting AR for insufficient proof and was asked to do DNA testing..

These cases mostly happen on a Foreigner and a Filipino couples...

So when we were called.. Thank God I have pictures of my wife and my daughter on my wallet.. But the consul just asked out of curiosity.. It wasn't really big deal.. We were approved already after he asked me. "By Any chance do you have any Pictures with you?" See that? By any chance.. Means to me that if you have that's good, and if you don't its alright.

Don't let fear get in your way.. Just tell em the truth and nothing but the truth and everything will go smoothly..

I still recommend your husband's presence though..
