Hello guys,

I just signed up for email updates from USCIS. My NOA1 is April 13, 06, check was cleared on April 18. Is "touch" an acronym for "update" given on USCIS online case status? They give the last date the case was updated. Mine was updated today i.e. 4/22/06. Isn't that strange? on saturday? could it be something to do with check deposit? Anyone with similar experience?

Have a great weekend!!!

Try more like a few months! :( Sorry, but CSC isn't cranking 'em out like the VSC! But it is way too early for them to being anything serious with your case, other than moving it.

I'm in the VSC, but something similar happened to me. Recieved 4/13, NOA1 4/18, but the last updated is 4/22. My check cleared on 4/19, so I'd be surprised if it's that ... I guess we will see next week if anything happens.

Well, getting touched after 3 days of check clearance may have something to do with check: they probably note that check was cleared and not bounced etc.

I just hoping that it had nothing to do with RFE. I realize that CSC is taking about 3 months to process, so I am not dreaming of NOA2 yet.

VSC fellows: you have a better chance of having the touch to something with NOA2.

4/06/09: Mailed I-751 to VSC by Express mail

4/07/09: Received by VSC

4/17/09: Check clearance.

Hello guys!

I was touched again today!! Don't know what is going on............

One question to the experience people: If I these touches have something to do with RFE, would I get email notification soon after? or same day?

I have no email notices, only touches!!! Any idea what that could be? Surely it is not about NOA2, as I am with CSC with NOA1 of 4/13/06.

I-751 process:

4/06/09: Mailed I-751 to VSC by Express mail

4/07/09: Received by VSC

4/17/09: Check clearance.

4/20/09: NOA1 received in mail (receipt date: 4/08/09)

Yup, touch is just means they did something with your petition, so yeah, i guess you could call it an update. It may have to do with the check deposit, you should see if they cleared.
