A win by David A. will be a win for all Clay Aikan supporters that fell short of the gold... However, my vote is for David C.

I don't think David A and Clay Aiken are very much a like at all. They both have great voices...besides that? I like David A a lot more than Clay...I voted for Ruben that year anyway.

They are both gay, but they sing very differently. You are correct...

I know you are being sarcastic about the David A thing...but it's not nice to call him gay just because he is nice and says gosh unless you have some other valid reason for it. Isn't it better to be a nice shy-ish 17 yr old than a punk attitude 17 yr old?? I don't get what the problem is.

I didn't write or imply there was a problem. It is my assessment that he's gay. Nothing more... Nothing less... What's wrong! Is it politically incorrect to acknowledge someone's perceived gayness? If so, I apologize. (((Shrugs)))

Sure Davy is a nice little role model for today's youth, but I *personally* do not like his singing. Its not for me. Therefore I will not vote for him, nor will I wish for him to win. As it is a singing competition, I will be casting my vote for the contestant whom I believe to be the better singer. It is nothing personal against his fans here on VJ. I am expressing my opinion/preference and nothing more. Gosh, indeed!

Well, that the thing with judging talent. Its very subjective. I generally don't go for schmaltzy ballads, but the real turn-off for me is all the runs that Archie uses. The amount of runs in his singing rivals a person with a severe case of Montezuma's Revenge!

Yes, I think this is key. The music style has so much to do with it. I've always been a fan of R&B music (and ballads!), and the runs impress me - I think it takes a lot of vocal control. I've heard others say that he's ruined the songs he's sung because of them - I think he's made them better!

Oh let's say that it all depended upon how fat a person was and most importantly if the person were not a member on VJ whereas the person would be offend by the comment (not to mention a violation of the TOS). I honestly would mention fat or big boned a few dozen times. :P
