I really didn't get the "praise" music early in the show--felt like we were watching a bible channel! How awkward that would be for anyone who isn't Christian to sing (though it is a beautiful song).

Shocking results, eh? I guess that Michael Johns didn't appeal to the pre-teen fan base (the ones who are most likely to vote, I'm guessing).

Chris Daughtry got cut early on too if I recall and look at what happened....he blew right past the winners of that season and went on to be awesome. I think Michael might just do the same.

Hmmm, I'm not feeling the church song during Idol. :wacko:

I fastforwarded right through it! I hate when they roll out the gospel choirs! Its really OTT and getting a bit tired cos they do it so often. Time to think of a new gimmick.

i "personally" like it (one of my fave religious song so i dont mind them singing it lol), plus its a very popular song in my country so i guess im used to hearing it, and think of it as "regular" song per se but no to the extent of being "just the ordinary"...
