I really was impressed with Syesha last night. I know this song was written by Dolly but made more famous by Whitney so I really tried to forget Whitney's version and imagine it was Syesha's song. With that being said, I thought she did a GREAT job.

I agree with you, in that she was awesome when she stayed calm and controlled like the first 2/3 of the song. When she broke out into the infamous Whitney ending, that did it for me. Up to that point, I was enjoying it a lot. As much as I don't enjoy listening to Whitney, she owns that ending, and anyone that attempts "the big ending" only end up sounding like a mediocre imitation, IMHO.

And whoever gave :thumbs: to Dolly -- I completely agree! Dolly is amazing! 3000 songs, holy #######.

I agree with you about the first 2/3 of the song being better. My only gripe about Whitney (LOVE HER) is that she sucks live. I saw her in concert and she is nothing like she sounds on her CDs. Syesha was doing that live people. That's tough to do!

And that was me who gave :thumbs: to Dolly (maybe someone else too?) I love her music and she rocked in Steel Magnolias! hehe

Garments huh.... Okay, the facts on garments. You must take out endowments at the temple. This is either when you go on a mission. 19 for boys, and common, I think 21 for girls, and less common. If a girl does not go on a mission they prefer she waits until she gets married to go through the temple and take out your endowments. So, unless she is married, and I don't remember if she is, she must have gone on a mission.

FYI, sorry to go off topic, but I just heard some shocking news that relates to what we were discussing earlier. Snoop Dogg has converted to Mormonism....Okay, thats just freaky!

yea somebody has to go home and unfortunately its her, my bet lol... oh well, it is what it is (you cant win without connecting to the song/audience)... she may not be the best singer but she wasnt the worst either :star: (my opinion) lol... so to all who're still counting on their bet to win and stay, good luck guys with all my sincerity! :thumbs:

I LOVED the Clark Brothers yesterday. I've watched the show were they got voted best and their performance was the first that we didn't fast forward out of all the AI Resultshows. I have never seen Dolly Parton perform but it seemed like she got a hold of Paula's pill bottle yesterday. I don't know if she is always that...umm....bubbly but she sure was a show :yes:

Yeah, thats what I said. I am still not convinced!

I would have preferred either Jason or Kristy to go first, but I wasn't surprised either. I am still all for David A and C and Carly.

I think it was right for Ramiele to go home. She definitely has potential, but she never once wowed me since becoming part of the Top 24, let alone since Top 12.

As for the Clark Berothers. I thought the were terrible and really butchered that song.

And what in the heck was Dolly Parton wearing???? That was hideous!
