I agree with all of those. I'm sad about David though I have a feeling he won't last if he keeps this up and at this point in the game to have forgotten the lyrics???? That boggles my mind. I wonder if he was getting cocky. He seemed a bit shocked at the responses and I thought he was going to cry.

I was really impressed by several of the performances (the top 6 in my list below, namely). My order would be:

1. Brooke

2. Chikezie

3. Carly

4. Amanda

5. Michael

6. David C.

7. Jason

8. David A.

9. Syesha

10. Ramiele

11. David H.

12. Kristy

This is the first week where I enjoyed Michael Johns' performance. It really does have so much to do with the song...the one he sang is one of my favorites.

I'm loving this season because my rankings keep changing every week!

My cable went out halfway through!!! I was sooooooo annoyed. I got to see the first 7 and really like Brooke, Carly, Chikezie and David Cook (pleasantly surprised about Chikezie's performance). I thought Syesha, Jason and Ramiele were a tad boring.

Last night had some pleasant surprises, and some "I can't believe they did that to a Beatles song!"

I'm liking this year in that there is no clear cut one or two frontrunners, there's 6 or so in my estimation that could legitimately win this thing.

I'm really irritated by Ryan's attempts to mitigate the judges' criticism by making asinine statements like, "So you're saying that she did a good job, but you didn't like the song?" No, Ryan, they're saying exactly what they already said, we don't need a summary. And then his feeble defense of Kristy Lee, "but but but, you guys TOLD her she should do country and she did and now you told her it was bad!"

And then his weirdness with Chikezie....

I just really don't like Ryan Seacrest!
