did anyone record the shows this week?

i thought that even tho ryan had failed to acknowledge simon at the end of the last few shows, that he had given him a really nice introduction... i cant remember if it was tues or wed night... with my 11 month old moving all over the place i cant focus on it, instead catching snippets and sometimes a full performance

i think that this whole snubbing thing is just planned out drama to get folks talking... i think ryan and simon probably laugh about it all the way to the bank... simon sits there smiling... if he were really upset, he would just interrupt ryan and say something... its not like simon to just let someone get away with something he doesnt like... he isnt shy about speaking his mind, lol

I have seen Ryan on a lot of talk/interview shows like Ellen and he says him and Simon are very good friends, so yeah I think it's just fun for them to give each other a hassle.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Why oh why is the Bride of Frankenstein still in this competition???

She should have gone, along with Kady "I butchered a Heart song" Malloy. Alaina and Alexandrea are both way better singers. Happy about the guys who are gone, although I would have liked to see either Danny Noriega or Luke Menard go before Robby.

Maybe because she has the support of "Vote for the Worst"? I thought her performance was awful last Wednesday.

I was shocked to see Alexandrea go. I thought her performance was better than Kady's. I wasn't too sure about Alaina but it might be because I didn't like the song she sang. Nevertheless, it was painful to see her go through what she did last night.

Too bad Daniel Noriega didn't go last night (thanks to VFTW again?). I wasn't too surprised about Robby though. His performance last Tuesday was not the best.

I had hope for Amanda at the beginning of the competition because she was "different", but I've concluded that she's different in a horrible way.

I was happy to see Robbie go actually, he looked so ridiculous in his skull shirt and bandanna.

My only disappointment in the eliminations was Alexandrea.

Is it just me, or have all the performances been kinda ho-hum this season? there isn't really any one performer other than Carly that I can see actually winning. By this time last season, there were a bunch of performances that got me excited. this year......meh.

With that being said, I pretty much agreed with the cuts this week, but Luke and Daniel has to go soon.

I was disappointed that Amanda didn't get the boot. I know the judges keep saying that she brings something different to the competition, but I feel that since the auditions, her voice has become lower and lower and lower tot he point where I cannot even decipher what she is saying.

Alexandrea was in my bottom 2 for the girls so no tears there.

I think what went wrong for Alaina was that she did not really stand out.

The 2 they booted off for the boys were in the middle of my list. But right now, I just want Danny Noriega booted. I don't know, there is something cocky and arrogant about him that I do not like.

I'm am so unimpressed by this year's talent and all I heard coming in to this season was "best talent in idol history". I watch it still, I don't know why. It's like an addition, I can't help myself from watching, even though I'm not enjoying any of the performances so far.

I really hate Vote for the Worst and all that it stands for. If you don't like AI, then don't watch. Is it really necessary to vote for the ####### singers? Surely these people can find something better to do with their time!

I do think that they have a bunch of good singers this season and but the problem is that nobody has really performed consistently well enough to pull away from everyone else as the one to beat.

I'm rooting for David and Carly. I'd like to see one of them win.

I'm also glad that "the bride of frankenstein" is still in...she kinda took the Sanjaya place this year...somebody to make fun of and laugh about. Other than that I think she is a terrible singer and not a performer at all...she'd scare me if she was my nurse.

David A and Carly are by far the strongest. If Amanda isn't yelling out a Janice Joplin song, she pretty much sucks. And what's so bad about Daniel? I think he's very entertaining :D

At this early stage, the ones that get booted aren't the worst singers, but they're the ones that don't stand out.

People are voting for their favorites. Contestants have to stand out to get votes. A singer who does a reasonably competent job with a song but doesn't have enough sparkle to be anybody's outright favorite won't get many votes. Danny Noriega, while he certainly isn't a favorite at our house, is sufficiently different from the other guys that he's got a fan base. Ditto Amanda. I don't see either of them winning the competition, but I wouldn't be surprised if they stick it out for a few more weeks.

Now that I think about it, much of the field this year is relatively competent, but without enough sparkle or individual character to stand out. I wonder how the vote totals are this season so far. At our house, nobody's been motivated enough to vote at all.
