Eating habits - I'm going to try what Honey and Sonny did - cut back sugar and eat 5-6 times a day.

It really does work, I had a hard time for about 2 weeks but after that it was a piece of cake!!

What is "it"???

It was like going thru withdraws, once my body got used to no more (or less) sugar and junk food intake, I was like hmm ok I can do this.

I am officially a Hip Hop Girl for P-Diddy :dance: . I finally got through a whole routine. I had to roll out of the bed this morning just like SJB everything hurt :o .

I'm finally getting serious about my weight now :dance: I dieted here and there half-assed but now I am really ready to make some lifestyle changes. I quit smoking in July so this is the next step. So far I've lost 9 pounds :thumbs:

Good for you Classy :dance::thumbs:

Smoking is a hard habit to kick!

What are you doing Classy?

1200 calories (we'll see how that # works) and moving my body. Nothing too strict and crazy, I want this to be life style changes not a crash diet. So far I've been walking 2-4 miles a day. Soon I will begin some workout dvds and up those miles. And I'm really watching my food choices. I had a bad habit of only eating once a day so I am working on 6 small meals. And I'm a super picky eater so its hard :crying: Everything I like is carbs, lol. I hate meat, eggs, & fish. But I do love my fruit and veggies.

Thanks 4 the congrats on the no smoking thing.

Class congrats on stopping smoking :dance: I am doing 1200-1500 calories a day and it works if you excercise. If you don't excercise your body adjust to those calories.

CONGRATS Classy;

My hubby stoped smoking October 2007 a month after he met me. I told him I have asthma and he said nothing more. I thought he would have gained wait (he need to), but he lost 25lbs in 2 months...MEN make it seem so easy.

Ditto!! Conrats on your smoking cessation and the ability to lose weight while you do so, that is awesome!! I agree with Morant, you have to exercise otherwise your body will just adjust to what calories you do eat. Good luck and keep up the great work! I've been keeping my caloric intake around about the same, I've been told I need to eat more based on my activity level. Otherwise I could hinder my weight loss, so I am steppn it up to at least 1600 cals.

Also 1200 cal is the min. for women, so make sure you are eating enough. If you start to exercise you will have to incease you intake.

I'm in too. I lost 33lbs this year and still have quite a ways to go :blush:. My goal is to loose 35lbs this by the end of 2009. I had good success on eating 5 smaller meals a day. I have some health issues that have cropped up and I had to reevaluate my meal plan; but I'm not giving up and to start back with a modified plan.

I did my weigh in this morning since; it's the 1st and it wasn't as bad as I thought. My short term goal is to lose 12 lbs by 12/22/08. I'm starting a "jump start" program for a week. I think a better weigh in day for me would be on Friday...before the weekend :whistle:
