how come your POE is LAX? is it really easier to go that way round? why not the Dublin thingamy like you did last time?

Well if I go via Dublin I can only take one 15kg case which sucks. Plus I have my cat so I want to go direct if I can

but I still don't get how flying from the UK to LAX is in any way shorter than, say, JFK (and then you get the stamp too!) and then a domestic transfer...? my POE is LAX as well, but that's because I'm coming from Sydney... if I was flying from London I would have gone through Minneapolis or Detroit

I think just for my own sanity I would prefer to go through POE at LAX then drive home rather than have random layovers in the US. I know when I went through Dublin last time I had a total of something like three layovers or something crazy The flight time is pretty similar but the time through airports just makes the wait longer for my poor cat

Not just that but I think with all the changes, flying into a familiar airport will be quite nice Even if I do have to brave POE/interrogation
