Good luck with your interview  Well I think right now the interview must be over for you so I hope it went well :D:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Thanks for all the wishes.. Yaaaaaaahooooooooooooo got approved :dancing::dancing:

Stilltheprettiest - Congratulations on your approval!!!:dance::dance:

I did not post on the 4th. Daniel and I ran into a little problem at the Consulate. I was returned all the docs unopened as soon as I entered the Consulate, that I had submitted at the VFS on the 19th feb for them to review before the interview.

My interview was taken by an Indian (I didn't know, if that was possible) and he was more interested in talking to his collegues than taking the interview. I got the impression that they had already decided not to give me a visa on that day. He gave me a 221g. Listing all the docs they had returned back to me in the morning (unopened and unreviewed). I was stunned, it felt like everything came crashing down and I couldn't do anything about it.

Daniel and I refused to leave the Consulate and D actually asked for a supervisor. We were taken to another counter and after explaining for 10 mins why 221g was not right. They took my docs and the 221g back. We came home, called DOS and found that I had been put under AP. Let me tell you exactly what the lady at the DOS said - It looks like they made a mistake, realised it and took it back

Well my AP lasted 1 day, I got my approval and will collect my passport today. Yeeeeaaaah

Aww - you both sound so much healthier than me... man I feel like a bum :(

On the other hand, you have it better than us, cuz you are actually getting better every day and we are still the same :P (Why would I even type this?)

no passport for me :(

it would be nice to see some professionalism left in this world, but it seems to be a dying art

what a bummer! I bet they still keep riding their horses to deliver stuff and use pigeons to let people know there was a change in their plan...let´s call them a 2-century-ago courrier (F)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Me too!! What sort of jobs?

administrative assistants, administrative associates and office specialists.

not too challenging, nothing you need a degree for, but - a job with good benefits.

Ahh - I can do that stuff!! Will have to keep my eyes peeled when I move :)

no passport for me :(

I finally broke, and rang the courier company at 5.30pm - they put me on hold for a while, and then came back and said they'd call me back, and then after a while did so, and said that the driver was ill today so didn't go out

That royally sucks - I would be so disappointed if I wasn't in tears!! I really hope you get it today just for your peace of mind *hugs*

I did not post on the 4th. Daniel and I ran into a little problem at the Consulate...

OMG - that sounds horriffic! I am so glad you stood up for yourselves and it is so good that Daniel was there as well so you had some moral support! Really glad it all worked out as well - I hope nothing like that happens to me - I think I would just walk away sadly without looking deeper because I would be so upset!!

yes; they even rang me and told me to expect it around midday... I think I got premium service without paying for it ;)

what original documents are in the brown envelope, Jeraly? I can't think of anything I want from it... but I can't imagine they'd give us anything back EVER; it's the gummint we're talking about

and in any case, I don't intend to naturalise... I'll stay an alien forever ;)

Everything from your I129F packet is in the mysterious brown envelope. As far as I know, you don't get that stuff back.

I don't even know where we got the strength to tell them that we do not accept the 221g. I do know now that if people become more aware of the visa process, things can be taken care of.. We are just soooooo happy that we haven't stopped celebrating (am so hungover and drunk at the same time :lol: )

Daniel's napping now before we start drinking again :yes:

Love to all and best wishes 'hic'
