yes, I have, and if I see Chuck Norris I will throw a raw egg at him :P

good grief; like I need one more thing to make me tired and stressed... 'between 8am and 6pm', so here I was bright and early at 8am at work, and now it's almost five and still nothing... I'd hoped it would come during the day and then I could have left at four; guess not

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

the embassy in frankfurt had troubles with the printer for the visa-stickers the week i had my interview. awesome timing. i had to go back to the embassy 3 days before i left for the US because it wouldn't have arrived on time via snail mail.

congratulations to the drivers test! :) :) :)

Thank you

little steps, but they make you feel so much more like a "normal" person again, don't they?

anthing that brings normality and stability is such a relief!

like getting a bike :) i HATE driving here.

or like getting a drivers license. or the really simple things like buying a muffing baking form.

At the Embassy in Prague, when you get the tourist visa, they send it to you via courrier and you get it in a day or two or so. Though when you get the K1 visa, they make you go to Prague again and pick it up yourself the day after the interview :P

yeah makes you feel like you actually live here now although you never did before and so you don´t feel like a visitor or something :)

we got our bikes too :) not that I hate driving, cuz I kind of like it, but I love bike and sports in general :)

Me too!! What sort of jobs?

administrative assistants, administrative associates and office specialists.

not too challenging, nothing you need a degree for, but - a job with good benefits.

no passport for me :(

I finally broke, and rang the courier company at 5.30pm - they put me on hold for a while, and then came back and said they'd call me back, and then after a while did so, and said that the driver was ill today so didn't go out

ok, fine, everyone gets ill, but they didn't know this before?! why was I still sitting at work after 6pm, after arriving before 8am, if there was no hope of my passport being delivered? they didn't have an answer to this, but said that the earliest available time was next Monday... I said I didn't think that was reasonable, since this was THEIR error, so after a lot of palaver, and more calls, and a manager calling me back, and me politely but firmly sticking to my guns, they SAY it will be delivered tomorrow... I guess we'll see

I'm not at all superstitious, but I just don't want to move on with plans until I have that damn visa in my HAND; I wouldn't have minded waiting til next week if that was just how long it was going to take, but if they text me - twice - to tell me to be available for an entire day, and then don't do me the courtesy of telling me that that plan has changed, then they can bloody well make it up to me another way

*sigh*

it would be nice to see some professionalism left in this world, but it seems to be a dying art

Double-you tee eff?!?!?! Ummmm...the driver is sick so they don't deliver that day??? What is this, 1974?

I share your misery to a small extent. My petition was delivered to Moscow yesterday (2 days ago really, since it's Moscow time), but has not been "received" by Moscow. And since Chuck Norris appears to be sick, I can't even send him over to kick some butts. Great. Just great.
