Everything is going just fine...he is still with my sister, but I am going to visit over Thanksgiving weekend and try to find him an apartment of his own (or at least a room in an apartment lol)...i think he will be a little less cranky when he is not sleeping on a couch anymore =]

everything here is just dandy though....winter is really kickin in here

Haha, I like how you called us all out individually to post Marta.

The shoes turned out exactly the same color as the swatch I gave them, so they did a great job. But now that they're done I feel like I wish they were slightly darker & brighter. But it's all good. I am really happy with them and they will be fun to wear. I'll post a pic.

BTW, its nice to see you. Seems you've been a bit MIA lately. You must be busy with work. I have lots to do here, but I find it all to be so boring that I am on VJ too much. Sometimes I just wish they'd block this site.

I was really busy with work, but this past week I haven't had much of an excuse, because I've been working from home. And with no one looking over my shoulder, VJ shouldn't be a problem! Anyhoo, it's nice to be noticed. Even when I'm not posting, I'm reading, and trying to keep up with you all.

I have also been wedding planning, lots of details, and loving it. I sent out our save the dates on Wednesday. I found a photographer who I am *super* excited about and who's willing to give us a deal b/c we're getting married in the off season (February in Montreal, it will be freeeeeeezing). Got a block of hotel rooms reserved, and our hotel booked, which is going to be a loft suite (oooooh!), and working on getting another block set up. I'm trying to nail down a baker and a florist. My first dress fitting is in just under a month. There are so many details! So many things to take care of. I have an appointment on Saturday to go to a place to order bridesmaids dresses, but that's only if my bridesmaids pick which ones they want and tell me their sizes by tonight. (The place is having a sale that ends tomorrow.)

Ooh, and Scott and I are getting a couch delivered tomorrow! I am really excited about that. We have this tiny crappy Ikea thing that I just hate. We're getting a sectional (squeezing it into our NYC apartment will be the fun part!), so we can finally spread out on it together and be comfortable.

And this coming Tuesday, I'm turning 30. So I'm having a little party at this cute wine & cheese bar in my neighborhood Saturday night. Saturday is going to be busy!

Been away with new job but I have to say... I love my job. So far I have seen blood and ear mite samples under a microscope, given meds to dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes and ages, given a bath to a 98lb pitbull, a husky, a boxer and several smaller dogs, helped give a dog chemo, learned how to mix drugs in the phamacy, assisted in surgery, given a cat hydrotherapy, seen happy things, nasty grusome things and really sad things and been bitten by a kitten and a grumpy bichon. Had to assist in my first euthanasia today. Got a bit teary but the vet told me not to worry, you never get hardened to it but you learn how to just see it as just a nessecary procedure for the sake of the animal, she has been doing it for 10years and still gets teary occasionally and needs to take a few mins to pull herself together. My feet are killing me from 10hr days walking and standing on a concrete floor and my legs and a$$ hurt from all the squatting and lifting. Using muscles I've not used in ages. But I love it.

Oh Debz I am sooo happy for you - it sounds wonderful and like you have lots of responsibilities as well which is great - sounds as if there is a lot of potential for progression and maybe a future career in it too if you like it well enough!!

I still haven't got my EAD - yet to check online today but I'm really not expecting to see anything!!! At least we get a few days away - maybe there will be good news when I get back In the process of cleaning the house so that it is all nice when we get back41`g, (sorry - ktten wants to help me type!)

Swept and mopped but have to clean shower and toilet and kitchen etc then change the bedding and do some more last minute laundry... Now the kitten is on my back because I am leaning over the bed on the laptop - he is very cute - I hate leaving my kitties when I go away
