The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!

Just to make this day even more terrifying for Nebraskans (especially those around Grand Island) I have my driving test today. Did written part yesterday and passed. Got driving part today. Biggest problem is that I've only driven the car around a parking lot last night for about 20mins. Not so worried about the actually driving it's the fact that because I'm on the otherside of the car my spacial awareness is thrown off when it comes to parking. Plus it's a much bigger car than my mazda sport I had back home.

OMG Debz! Good luck!

Griff drives here all the time, but is taking a few driving lessons just to make sure he's OK before his test. Should be next month. he took the written a few weeks ago, and in NY you have to take a 5 hour class where they talk to you about defensive driving and show you scary movies. Really aimed at spotty 17 year olds, but required for all who are getting licensed.

here in Tejas I can drive for a year on my Australian license (which I thoughtfully had renewed, remotely, from London, when it was about to expire last year; I was supposed to have swapped it for a UK one after a year there but as I never drove I never saw the point ;) )

so I'm living it up and by the time the test comes driving here will be old-hat... was weird when I first started though, and I hear you Debz about the parking :wacko:

Oh Debz!! Good luck hun!! I am still in wuss-mode and haven't driven at all but there is good news on the car horizon - Maven is hopefully going to have the paperwork when she comes to the party tomorrow so it will all be sorted out soon!!! Then I have to bite the bullet and stop being such a wuss :unsure: I swear - I know I will be fine but I just worry so much about everything and I've always been a nervous driver - seeing some of the idiots on the roads here hardly fills me with confidence :unsure:

congratulations, debz!

ah, aly, i wish so much we could be there tomorrow!

i came home early today (haha) and did the long needed cleaning of the house. now i'm waiting on eric, vegging on the couch and surfing the net. i need to finish some serious job allplications this weekend though.

later we'll watch scary movies and eat pizza.

my temporary crown is giving me a hard time, the gums are very sore and infected. *sigh*

i remember that there were times when my life was easier. :crying:

Ah but there must have been times when your life was harder as well - remember that we can't appreciate the good times without the bad times :)

We'll miss you and Eric as well :( We'll be passing through AZ when we go on a mini road trip (mini meaning short but lots of miles!!!) but only down as far as Flagstaff - we are driving up and around Colorado :) I can't wait! I get to go have a bath again in a hotel!! YIPPEE!! I *so* miss my baths!!

US test was so much easier than UK one. Drove round 3 blocks, pulled over as if stopping in emergency, drove back to test center, parked and that was it. 10 mins max.

anyways, father in law just handed me 2 $100 bills. He owed me towards Nick's birthday present. Wasn't expecting it this week as I know they struggling this month.
