I don't know what's going on with everybody but I can say that with Scott here and no work at the moment I've been in front of my computer way less.

So Aly, when you get back online and feel like messing with the spreadsheet, I have some updates. I think our lawyer sent our AOS package on June 25th -- I have asked her a few times and she hasn't answered me on the exact date. At any rate, she said it should have been delivered on June 30th. I haven't heard anything since then so I'm assuming this all happened smoothly. Our check hasn't been cashed yet and no NOA1s as far as I know yet.

As an aside, do you guys think that makes us June or July AOS filers?

Given my vast knowledge of the AOS process, I'd say you are June filers!

But if you ask around here in the genereal forums, you may be subject to harsh reminders, that in the eyes of the USCIS, there is NO SUCH THING as monthly filers.

Now go back to doing whatever it is that you do with Scott as his chief entertainer!

Yeah and as far as the SSN offices are concerned there's no such thing as Customer Service there either. I never did call VSC last year but after reading about everyone's hassles with them and just now listening to Scott's phone call with SSN to try to find out any updated info, I think they have the same people working for them.

So I just updated my timeline. I put June 25th for our filing date even though I'm not sure that's what it was... I feel annoyed with that. But that's what date you all put for filing too, right -- the date you mailed the package? I'm so ####### that I'm thinking maybe I should change it to the 26th b/c our lawyer said she would send it the night of the 25th but she was in Europe then so really to me that's the 26th... Maybe I need to get a life.

What kills me about this whole lawyer business is that you guys actually paid her for all of this uncertainty!

Actually, luckily, we have not. We've only paid 25% of her fee thus far. I'm kinda expecting a big bill soon though...

The lawyer will never forget to bill you for the balance! You coulda paid me $100 to do the paperwork for you, and I would have fed exed it for you and signed you up for email notification for its delivery status!

Actually all I really care about is getting AP quickly. Well, and EAD would be nice too.

She arrives to USA in July but to LA in August

Ok let´s talk about speedy AP approvals I am waiting for the next Monday or Tuesday or so. That´s when new processing dates should appear on the USCIS webpage and that one will definately give me right to shout at them

Hahah - Jeremy is rebuilding my puter as we speak - I've been using his (overly cluttered, disorganised, messy) laptop since I got here so no access to my bookmarks (yeah yeah I know I could still find the spreadsheet ) but when I have my baby back then I will get on it!!

Am all happy at the moment - have had a couple of really good non-homesick days (and Jeremy had yesterday and today off ) so am feeling rather good. And we checked out the pool today - I can't believe how warm the water is!!
