hey guys; just checking in :)

yes, I had my parents over for the past week... dropped them at the airport yesterday afternoon, but even in the morning it was all systems go, with all four parents coming out with us for breakfast at Denny's... had to give my parents as much Americana as they could handle :lol:

and yes, we got married on Friday :)

thanks to everyone who wished us well :)

congrats too to Rae and Scott, who will forever share our anniversary :D

best be off; we went to IKEA yesterday, and are now embroiled in home improvements :jest:

plus catching up on all the jobs we didn't do this past week, with all the entertaining we were doing... :wacko:

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

question: I haven't yet applied for my SSN (I know; get a move on :P ), mainly because I didn't know if it would be easier to wait and apply for it in my new name, or whether I should get it in the name that matches all my other documents... I still have a few weeks before it becomes crucial, but I want to get it done, and get on with AOS, so anyone got any advice?

From what I have heard, it is easy enough to get a SSN in your maiden name then change it afterwards with your marriage certificate into your married name :) That's what I am going to do anyway :) Goodness me girly - what *have* you been doing all this time!? ;)
