Definitley not! That guys is always huffing around but won't ever share what he claims to know to be the truth. Without specifics his rantings are meaningless.

LMAO - glad I got you guys supporting me :D

Jeremy visited an apartment in Palm Springs today... it looks AWESOME!! It's pretty small but it has a private patio and garden (again, small but cute) and it looks clean and well kept - has a pool as well :D

On top of that, there is a reason why I want to live in PS:

Palm Springs Climate

Palm Springs is noted for warm, clear, dry weather with year-round sunshine and only 15 to 20 days of rainfall annually. Daytime temperatures range from 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius) to 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius) during the winter and up to 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius) in the summer, but with very low humidity. Winter evenings range between 40 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius) and 60 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius), while summer evenings average 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius).

quick drive-by from me to say that yes, we leave (and arrive!) on the 25th, which is in just a few days... packing has almost been finalised, and we did the seating for the party this morning... almost there :)

oh, and none of my nails have broken despite all the work I've been doing so I should be able to paint them up nicely for Saturday

however, we have done SO much eating out I think we've both put on a number of kilos, so my plan to start serious exercising once I get to the States has taken on a note of urgency :P

julez, so sorry to hear about the house... but yes, MUCH better to find out now; you'd have ended up hating it if it had cost you money and time and been a stress, so this way IS better, though it doesn't seem it :)

glad everyone else is doing well... see you all soon :D

I'll be hanging out on here much more, starting from next week ;)

xx

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Ohhh that sounds wonderful :) STP is nice and healthy, eating out a lot and relaxing :D What´s happening on Saturday that you need your nails for it?

no not harsh at all Jeraly! in fact I had to add my own response because he clearly had a lucky experience that most people to not, so to make statements that seem to imply the rest of us are idiots is not cool....this process is highly discriminatory - albeit across the board - so sort of equal opportunity discrimination!

btw - Matthew got the job at the first place (his top choice!) they called 2 hours before another interview to tell him! he went to the other interview anyway just to check it out, but is really happy with the job he has been offered. I know its only been 4 months (5 by the time its all done) but man oh man am I looking forward the world of dual income again! ahhhhhhhhh what a relief it will be :)

Oh StP!! Sooooo exciting!! I can't wait until the craziness settles down and it is my turn to move!! Just a little over five weeks now! Part of me feels like it is ages away, while the other part of me feels like it is coming far too fast - it's an absolute rollercoaster!!

I'll get Jeremy to put some pics of an apartment we looked at online when he gets up so you can all see - they seem to have limited attachments to 10k each which sucks :( The apartment is in Palm Springs (which I love!) and is about a mile from the Main Street, so far enough away that it is quiet, but close enough to walk there and go shopping :D *and* there is a Stater Brothers down the road so I can do the grocery shopping :D We applied for it so just keeping fingers crossed now :D

Have found somewhere that actually offers travel insurance for me *and* Daisy (cat) which is awesome!! I just need to find out about medical insurance in the US and all that jazz so I can figure out exactly what I need... Knowing when Jeremy is coming out would help as well - we have to get a train to Heathrow because of Daisy which is really expensive but I also want to book his coach - and I can't do that until we know when he is going to get here...

It all just seems a little crazy right now - as soon as I think I am on top of things, I remember something else I need to do!!

Oh Sara! That is fab news!! Tell him congrats from me! Not that he even knows who I am but still :P

oh he knows who you are  the crazy lovable gamer from Bristol! I know I don't post as much as most of you, but I do keep up and hubby knows who you all are as I share all the happenings with him! he knows about all the main 'playas' of our july forum

thanks, we are pretty thrilled right now! and his dad is coming to visit from London today, so we are headed off to the airport soon. its sweet - his parents have been married like 29 years and have never traveled without each other until now, but his dad had time off that his mum didn't so he decided to come for a visit anyway! should be great :) and then his mum is coming in august by herself just to say she can go on her own too.....they crack me up! of course they are coming again in October.....together!
