Ok... here is what I have now... Anyone know how long these are meant to be?!?!

Jeremy, today in front of our friends and family, I pledge to be your loving wife. To love someone is to see a miracle invisible to others, and you are that miracle to me. I promise that on our journey through life I will find the sunshine behind every cloud and make each day as beautiful to you as you are to me. I vow to build a loving and trusting relationship, to be your companion in joy and comfort in adversity and to bring happiness and laughter into the marriage.

Jeraly,

That is wonderful....and the wonderful thing about writing your own vows is they can be as long or short as you want. It is your time to express how you feel and your commitment and promises to your husband to be. I am not a writer but I would rearrange it a little. But it is just a suggestion.......won't hurt my feelings if you do not agree.

Good Luck!! You have inspired me to consider writing my own vows as well. Ahmed is such a blessing to me.

Hehe!! Yay! I did good!!

We're both starting the vows like that to give them some kind of structure so it can't really be changed too much - the first sentence position that is. But I can certainly look at how I can make it read a bit better :) I never realised they would be so hard to write! Start now!!!!

It's lovely. I'm just going to throw this out there...you know, coming from a guy/Neanderthal brain...since you asked for thoughts and all. Why is loving someone "to see a miracle invisible to others"? I mean, if I'm Jeremy's mom, I'm thinking "I know exactly what Aly sees in him, because he's my beautiful son who I love so much!" Am I over-thinking this? I think I'm over-thinking it. Will there be cheese at the reception?

No Problem Jeraly I am just bored...Ahmed is offline with no connection so I just thought I would try to help. I read your notes from earlier and came up with another version. But like I said before. It wil lnot offend me if you disagree.....these are after all your vows. :D

Jeremy to love someone is to see a miracle invisible to others, you are my miracle.Today as our separate journeys now become one in front of our family and friends, I pledege to be your loving wife, to find the sunshine behind every cloud, to make each day as beautiful as you are to me. I vow to build a loving and trusting realtionship, be your faithful companion in joy, comfort and adversity and to bring happiness and laughter into our marriage until death parts us.

I will quit now.....LOL and maybe start on my own. :innocent:

Haha!! Well I hope that the miracle of love I see in him is totally different to the miracle of love that his mom sees in him... his family is complicated enough - they don't want to be *over* qualified for a Jerry Springer show!!

Cheryl - keep at it!! When I am reading through the vows and trying to make it all fit better I will prolly turn to your ideas and find I like the way you have phrased things better  But defo get started on your own - feel free to use anything you like from mine - I've got most of my ideas from a book so ;)

Sent to me in an email from a friend of mine getting this summer, Dr. Suess vows: You'll need a minister (and family) with a sense of humor:

Minister: Will you take her as your wife? Will you love her all your life?

Groom: Yes, I take her as my wife, Yes, I'll love her all my life.

Minister: Will you have, and also hold Just as you have at this time told?

Groom: Yes, I will have, and I will hold, Just as I have at this time told, Yes, I will love her all my life As I now take her as my wife.

That is awesome. I have to show that to Alex.

Jeraly - I like your vows! Shortish and very sweet. I must admit I'm not sure what to make of the second sentence, but the rest is lovely.

The brother who wants a laser ring is 18 and studying at Sheffield University, just like I did! It's pretty sweet having a family member in the same city as me, even if it doesn't mean I see him any more often. He has a bizarre sense of humour and has very strong opinions. He makes me laugh a lot and is probably the sibling I get on best with (I don't have favourites).

Here's my ring, btw. I love it! People say it's a lot nicer looking actually on my finger.

Also, now the party's over...should I go?

Ohh - that is gorgeous!!!

As for the vows - I just like the second sentence - I'm not sure where it fits in at the moment so it is kinda clumsy but I figure I'll get there :D

And you're more than welcome to hang out here... just don't expect a certificate!!

I couldn't find a decent photo of the right shade of green, so I cheated and colorized a different colored bag. Since the chair is virtual, I didn't see any problems with this. I'm wondering, however, if this will cause any problems during the interview. Any helpful tips will be greatly appreciated!
