well we aren't bringing any furniture with us, so that part will be easy, but i dont think one bag is gonna cut it for me  i have tons of books and cds which are heavy and sooo annoying

Well if your books and cds are that annoying, get rid of them :D:lol:

Rae - I think the long BC is standard - I had to have the long version too :)

Maybe it´s not standard :P I only have one BC and it´s not too long :)

By long I mean one page though rather than half ;) Like A4 or whatever equivalents you have in different countries :)

another thing, does anyone have any thoughts as to something i can wear to the wedding reception that isnt a poofy white dress? i hate white and try never to wear it, and would absolutely prefer not to do so...why is it such a requirement??? god, i hate tradition!!! what else can i go for???

Actually black is quite fashionable at the moment :D

You could go for something sparkly or silvery or gold? In August I am wearing a white skirt and a white blouse and maybe a silvery or pastel pink vesty top underneath

I think you should wear whatever you want.

I have noticed that a lot of people have strong opinions on what I should do or wear on my city hall day (which to me isn't even the real thing since we plan to do a big ceremony later), and it really bugs me. This is your day, not your mom's or sister's. I mean, sure, you don't want to piss them off or anything. But letting them know that you'll be happier doing what you want to do should mean something.

Oh and it doesn't have to be a big poofy dress either. I went with the white "requirement" and just got a simple white summer dress from Anthropologie. :)

But if you want to wear black, especially to your reception, wear black!!

You could try somewhere in the middle, like a dark silver.

Our ceremony was like your's Rae - for the paperwork, except with no plans for a big hoopla later. I wore a red silk wraparound dress. It went to half way down my calf. Underneath I wore a big flouncy hippie skirt that I was wearing when my OH and I went off on our road trip together (3 days after meeting). It was just visible below the dress, and provided the 'poofy' element, while being something very personal to me. (L)

Though it´s said black dress bring bad luck :( The marriage of this couple ended after 6 months...

yeah, and I'm sure it was the dress, and nothing to do with the fact that maybe they weren't suited to one another :D:P

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

So it´s May 17 already. Our timeline says AP news should arrive May 22 and EAD May 28 :D Hope it´s right. Not feeling like waiting too much longer right now :) It´s not like it´s an annoying wait or anything, but just wanna put this paperwork behind me for now already :) I know it´s still gonna take a while for the AOS though :P
