Actually, you can leave and re-enter more than twice -- as many times as you'd like. The customs officers will not / should not keep those AP papers. You hand them over for them to look at, and they hand them back to you. And for some dumb reason, you are supposed to travel with BOTH of them together, but since they don't come with instructions on how to use them, apparently that's forgiven often b/c people don't know they're supposed to.

Where did you find that out? I only read that it can be used for one entry

Somewhere on VJ, I believe somewhere in the Canada forum, but I couldn't tell you exactly where b/c it was awhile ago.

Maybe there is more than one type of AP, since when you apply it asks if it's for one visit or multiple ones? I guess we should do a little digging around here.

But I know a lot of Canadians want and get the ability to go back and forth b/c they are often so close to home. So I'm sure it can be for more than one entry.

What do you guys mean by the Twister? I only know one twister and I don´t think that´s what you mean

You planning to have a room full of mud? Is that cuz of the new garden you are gonna have? :D

twister is a wonderful game ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twister_(game) ) and were going to have a non-stop twister party at julez's new house!!!! :jest::jest::jest:

the mud room, im guessing, is like a foyer in her new house...where the kids can leave all of their dirty things, so they dont have to get the whole house filthy

how's tricks everyone? Popping by to say hello and vent some of my stress. Wedding is in less than 3 weeks, still have several things to do.

My original small simple wedding has doubled in size in the last week due to grumpy relatives (all on Nicks side) wanting invites. So now I have 74 people coming and they are all related to Nick. Also originally I just had a maid of honour....now I have 3 bridesmaids too. Nick's family do not understand the concept of RSVP so I'm having to guess at numbers for reception. Thankfully it's just for a buffet.

To add to my stress I am starting to fill out and look in more detail at AOS. We are definatly going to need a joint sponsor and well, you all know me from the joy that is K1 so you can probably imagine the stress I'm under.

Oh I do understand the relatives/neighbors/school teachers getting pissed about not getting invited. I was back in Nebraska this past weekend and I got the same thing from various relatives (many of which were my mom's cousins...so not even technically close relation). Also my mom's next door neighbor was somewhat offended, as well as my 4th grade teacher and my elementary school principal. I don't know if it is just a Nebraska thing (I doubt it is) but I never understood it...you get an invite, now you have to show up and buy presents etc. The only thing I can gather is that it is a social thing. However, I'm glad I'm getting married in Chicago so they weren't too pushy on the subject.

Anyways, congrats on your wedding! I've always thought that wee beautiful church would be a great place to get married. Will you take a horse & carriage out to the church?

I just realised that Mox's fiancee has her interview today!

Has anyone heard from him recently? He disappeared a while back due to being busy with work and his kids and he never returned. I thought he'd be around with it being her interview and everything. I wonder if all is ok with them?

Oh poor Debz (F) That must be really stressful for you. We wouldn´t like anyone to dictate us what our wedding was supposed to be like and who else we should invite. I think wedding is a matter of the two people and they should arrange it the way they want so they feel comfortable :) But I understand living around lotsa relatives must put a lot of pressure on you (F) (F) (F)

I am sure AOS will be really easy for you to deal with after all you have already been through :)

Well I left him a message to let us know how the interview goes so hopefully he will man up a little :P

That is too bad but... as contrived as it sounds, everything happens for a reason. Eventually they'll be together and happy. :D

Ok. Now I really am $hitting myself and I think I have just cause to this time.

Dunno how many of you are aware of the nightmare that has been Jeremy's work recently - him pulling 60-70 hour weeks, masses of inspections, one of his bosses going completely off the rails. They were looking for any excuse to fire her because she was grossly incompetent.

As a result, Jeremy has been spending more and more time at work, less and less time with me. Apartment hunting has been put on the back burner and this week I have reached breaking point. I just couldn't take anymore.

He finally realised that he had been neglecting me and has started making it up to me. His other boss who had also been putting in loads of hours was understanding and said that he was going to have a couple of days set aside for Jeremy to focus on apartment hunting.

Jeremy just got a call to say that both of his bosses had been fired.

Now I am freaking out - we were expecting one of them to be fired because she really was dreadful, but the other one was working really hard and neither of us can figure out what he could have done to justify being fired. That currently puts Jeremy in the highest ranking position in the store (and as he is only supervisor it's not like he has masses of management experience yet) and we just don't know if he is still going to have a job come June when I move out there. Not only that but he is meant to be coming here in about 5 weeks as well... and I just don't know what is going to happen anymore.

I am so scared. If he loses his job I don't know what we will do - we have tickets bought, I have things packed - almost everything is in place for me to move. But without his job we can't afford a place to live let alone AOS or anything like that. If i could work it wouldn't be so bad... Even if he keeps his job, it might mean he can't come over in June which ruins our whole UK reception... I am terrified right now and I don't know what to do...

Susie - I think the first one looks cosier but the second one looks more upmarket so I guess it just depends on the feel you want to go for :)
