 @ visa nerds!!!

one of my supervisors is married to a brazilian, and i believe they did the same thing with AOS, as she was already living here when they got married...he came to me the other day with this i-751 (removal of conditions) and asked if i could fill it out for him (im sort of his assistant)...i laughed and told him that of course i can, and that i would be doing the same thing for my fiance in about 2 years...he has proceeded to come to me with questions since then...asking me if he still needs his lawyer (yea, he used a lawyer when they first applied)...of course i told him no he doesnt need one, and that i would be more than happy to help him with any questions he has :P what a nerd

YO July fabulous friends.....haven't stopped by in a while, but just wanted to report in that we have received Matthew's EAD and AP. It took 59 days from date of receipt to be approved and then another week to arrive in the post. We have not heard anything on the actual AOS yet - not even transferred to CSC from the National Benefits Center so we will probably be the people who go through the interview process locally, but at least he can work now and travel if need be!

Hope everyone is well! I will have to catch up on some reading here :)

Nice to see you Sara! I've been wondering how you guys were getting on. Congrats on the EAD and AP!!! We're a few weeks behind you and have heard nothing yet, though we were transferred to CSC a month ago. Hopefully we'll be through this nonsense soon!

Don't be such a stranger! I love hearing how everyone is doing.

Actually, you can leave and re-enter more than twice -- as many times as you'd like. The customs officers will not / should not keep those AP papers. You hand them over for them to look at, and they hand them back to you. And for some dumb reason, you are supposed to travel with BOTH of them together, but since they don't come with instructions on how to use them, apparently that's forgiven often b/c people don't know they're supposed to.

Where did you find that out? I only read that it can be used for one entry

As for the Twister extravagnaza, it will be in August, since we are closing 11 July, off to the UK from 20 July - 27 July and we are immediately building an extension on the house to make the kitchen bigger and to add a mud room. Once that's all done, we'll be ready top twister the night away!! Besides, by then, Poiteen should be stateside! ;)

What do you guys mean by the Twister? I only know one twister and I don´t think that´s what you mean

You planning to have a room full of mud? Is that cuz of the new garden you are gonna have? :D

Complete change of subject - but if someone is in the US from the UK on a work visa and they are getting married to a USC - can't they just apply for AOS?

Mum's friend's son is in the US working and apparently they are going through a lawyer :eyeroll: who is saying this isn't the case!!

Yes, no problem at all.

Perhaps he needs to get a new lawyer?

Or just handle it themselves...usually faster than having to deal with an annoying lawyer :)

Hopefully! :D I know we are already busy second part of August though. We have lots of weddings to go to this summer :P

I don´t get any touches on anything....but I´m used to that..my K1 didn´t get a touch either :)
