We got there at about 3.30pm or so and there were like maybe one or two people there

from everything I've read, the advice to leave it at least two weeks is good... if they do things manually, it can often take much longer than if you'd just waited, which seems insane, but there it is

Doesn't it actually seem to be completely in stride with how everything else we have to deal with works?

Lol... well... when I say uber cheap I mean not as extortionate as we were originally looking at... we were looking at over $1k for Jeremy alone and we found one for under $800!!!

Oooh, ouch. Either options sounds expensive to me.

I'm sure it depends on where in the country you're going, which office.

I mean, every time I go to the post office in NYC I spend about an hour there, waiting in line. Any other post office in the country I've been in and out in no time. So annoying.

Yeah I know - it's not cheap but at least it isn't in July which is when it gets even more expensive... and we have to pay for two flights... mine and his...

Trust me you don´t wanna have to go to our SS office even if there were no people going there all day....don´t go there even if they pay you to do so ok? They don´t allow you to apply until 30 days from POE passed...no idea why

Yup...we got everything done alright...but making us wait another 2 weeks was just weird They wouldn´t even look in the computer to see if I was in it or not Also we had to come back in another 30 days to have the name changed...cuz they wouldn´t do it when I was applying...explanation: "Come back in 30 days and try to apply for the name change...maybe we do it then" So I tried and they did it
