Only cause we had no net connection!! I tried from time to time as well even though we had to hang off the edge of our balcony to do so... *and* we had to pay for what crappy net connection we got!! I tried real hard - honest!!

Less then 12 hours until I emigrate...... I really can't fit everything in my luggage. I'll have to leave some stuff, and my mum isn't happy that I can't empty my room! That's love for you isn't it! I have a feeling that sleeping tonight may be a little difficult...

Aly, many congrats on your approval. I haven't read any further back than one page, as I really ought to be trying harder to do that packing thing. I looove to leave things until the last minute LOL. I'll write again from Maryland!

Hello all. Checking in whilst over at Nick's rents. There is a whole lot happening for us Julyers now.

Lisalu...I guess you will be en-route now. Congrats.

Most of the stuff for the wedding sorted now so I'm having more time to sit and think about stuff I miss so having a few homesick moments. Still love it over here and Nick's mammy is being such a big support to me. She is amazing.

Nick played improv guitar at a local bar last night. He is an amazing guitarist but has really bad nerves and no belief in himself. It's the first time he has played for a decent sized audience of total strangers. He did so well and had people going up to him and complimenting him and buying him drinks (he doesn't even drink, lol). I'm so proud of him. He was originally only supposed to play 30mins but they kept him going and kept telling him to turn up for over an hour. It has done so much for his confidence.

Oh..one more thing....I have discovered hayfever season starts earlier here and I'm allergic to Nebraska! So if any Nebraskans know where I can get some Honey made in Nebraska I'd appriciate a wee message.

Great to hear about Nick - It's one thing being able to do something in the privacy of your own home but in public is a bit more scary... that sounds well dodgy

Great that Nick's mom is being supportive - I don't have a support network really other than Jeremy in the US so I am a bit nervous about that when I start to get homesick

Just a big change away from everything I have ever known (apart from Jeremy) - I'm worried I won't settle down and that I will get upset and grumpy while I am settling in and take it out on Jeremy

Noooooooo I´m sure u will be fine and happy and all And if you have some negative energy turn it around and use it on something good like to plan something to do together with Jeremy And you will be able to see your family and friends again sooner than you think and you will settle well and have new plans and new dreams and you will follow your old dreams and it will all be great and you and Jeremy will be sooooo happy together
