Hello there!!!!

Peruvian VJ couples who recently had their interview....could some of you help me with this...!!! :D

I was wondering what did you take? I haven't got packet 3-4 but I called the embassy today and found out my interview is scheduled for february 5!!!!! Time flies and I'm freaking out cause I gotta get a new affidavit of support cause the one I have is from last year. Then my fiance's last 3 year tax returns. I have his 2004-2005-2006 thinking that we were gonna have our interview last year.....but it didn't happen. So I have those but only photocopies cause he sent the originals to Vermont. Then he has to give my his last 3 pay stubs....

Sorry to bother you guys with all these questions!!!!

What else did you take to your interview????

Do I need to translate my birth certificate and police records, antecedentes penales and judiciales????

Do I have to certified my birth certificate by RENIEC???? I read somewhere a while ago that you need it only if you are not from LIMA, is that true?

How much did you pay for the interview? I think is now 131 bucks plus 95 of medical right???

Thanks for your help ini advance :D

You guys must be getting excited, contgrats on getting the interview date.

You will need for the interview:

A complete duplicate copy of the I-129F that you was submitted in the U.S.

A copy of the NOA2

3 years tax returns

Last 3 paycheck stubs

A letter from your Fiance's job stating how long he has worked, full time, how much he makes, his position etc.

A letter from his bank stating how long his account has been open and how much money is in each account

A letter from your Fiance stating his desire to continue with the Fiance visa and his desire to marry you

Proof of your ongoing relationship since your NOA1. Pictures together, airline tickets, hotel receipt, letters, e-mails etc.

If he has the receipt for your engagment ring, that also is good.

At least 3 passpost pictures for the interview is required. You will also need about 3 for your medical.

Also, you are required to have 3 police certificates. I will try find out what the 3rd one is.

You do not need to translate your birth certificate or police certificates for the interview. The translation of your birth certificate comes later after you arrive in the U.S.

Yes, you should get your birth certificate certified by RENIEC

Medical is $95 U.S. Dollars and the visa fee, yes has increased to $131.00 U.S. Dollars

Best of luck for your interview

Copy of the I-129F is everything he sent in when he first filed here to the USCIS. All the forms and anything else he sent with it. We were never asked for it at the interview, but it's suggested to have it.

No you don't need the NOA1, just the NOA2

Hi!!!

Good luck in your interview!!!

My fiancee just had her interview (and she was granted the VISA!!!).

She took the following to the interview:

1) Copy of I-129F (although they never looked at it...they should have the original/or a copy of it)

2) I-134 Affidavit of Support

i) I only put my Income in this sheet because it is more than enough (at least 10% above the poverty line...blah, blah, blah) for the two of us.

ii) Letter in duplicate from my employer with information about my job...what I do, how much I make, how long I've worked there, whether the position is temporary or permanent. This letter needs to be on employer letterhead.

iii) Tax transcripts for 2005 and 2006 income (like your tax returns, but free from the IRS). YOU DON'T NEED 2007 TRANSCRIPTS...AS THESE AREN'T NECESSARILY FILED UNTIL APRIL 15, 2008...SO YOU PROBABLY DON'T HAVE THEM.

iv) Last three paycheck stubs.

3) photos (they didn't look at them)

4) other supporting evidence (we had receipts for the wedding rings/bands, my fiancee's dress, plane tickets, etc.) My fiancee was with me until January 21 here in the US and her interview was on Jan 24!

5) police certificates, certificado de antecedentes penales, antecedentes militares (if it applies) birth certificate, passport

6) Medical interview papers, $95 for inteview plus more for vaccines

7) 5 passport photographs (3 for the medical interview) , 2.5 cm by 2.5 cm

8) DS 156 and DS 156k..you can do these online...just go to the embassy website (under the Spanish version) find visas, visa de imigrante (technically this is not correct) and click on the link for the DS 156....you can also fill out the DS 156k online at www.forms.gov...and search for this form. The 156k they sent us in the packet 4 was expired.

9) $131 paid to banco continental...

10) They sent us some odd form, the OF-179 (datos biographicos) which we filled out, but I never read about it before hand, and I am not sure if my fiancee needed it.

11) HEHEHE, I almost forgot, a letter stating continued desire to marry fiancee/e!

If you have any questions you can call the Embassy between 2-3 pm and ask them your questions... they answer Fiancee Visa questions during this time, and were very helpful for us.

Good luck!

PS> some of this stuff I wrote out of memory, so be sure to check what other people write, and look at the US Embassy website, I may not have mentioned everything or be totally 100% accurate.
