I still cannot believe what has happened!

I accidently left my cell phone at home this morning which I've done a couple of times the past couple of weeks because I've been deathly ill with some kind of flu crud. Around 3:00pm this afternoon, I checked my email and found that I had gotten an email from my husband Hicham. The email said that he had been trying to call me all day long and that I needed to call him as soon as possible. I was definitely freaked out and couldn't wait to get home to get online so we could talk. When I finally got connected on Skype, I was like..."What's going on!" Hicham says, "I bought a suit today...that's my good news" I was like...what is the matter with you? Hicham starts laughing and he says, "Are you ready for this, boo?....The consulate called today and they said that Rome has approved the application!" I had stood up out of the chair when he said the consulate called and when he said "approved", I swear I fell to the floor to my knees. I started shouting and screaming and asking him if he was kidding me. I kept asking him, "Are you sure? Are you sure?" He kept saying it was true. Our son had been watching cartoons and when I started shouting and crying, he came into the room and stood in front of me and started crying. I could tell that he was scared because he thought something was wrong with me. I just grabbed him and hugged him and told him that everything is okay, baby...your daddy is COMING HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't know yet when they will start processing his visa and passport. The Consulate officer told him that to speed things up he needed to go ahead and renew his medical and police certificate so that when they received the file from Rome they could immediately process his final paperwork and passport. We are trying not to get our hopes up that he could possibly travel back with us when we go to Morocco the beginning of March.

After four long years of battling just the waiver process, I never thought this day would come. There are so many people that have lifted us up this whole time and we share this moment of happiness with all of them. I can only hope that those of you that are going through this, you will soon find an answer to your prayers as well.

I cannot find the words to express the joy I feel at this moment thinking that my family is soon going to be together again....but for good this time.

Oh Gosh, I got goosebumps! Congratulations, Allousa !!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I'm so happy to hear you finally got some good news!!

Best wishes to you both that the rest of the process will be fast and smooth!

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5
