Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Shame on her, then.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

I always tell my husband, I am not white, my skin is pink. Have to admit after reading this, I wanna be white again.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Erica Jong (née Mann, born March 26, 1942, in New York City, New York) is an American author and educator.

A 1963 graduate of Barnard College, with an M.A. in 18th century English Literature from Columbia University (1965), Jong is best known for her first novel, Fear of Flying (published in 1973), which created a sensation with its frank treatment of a woman's sexual desires.

I don't get it? How does drinking make them pink?

Maybe she's implying they are pigs?

Anyway, some things I agree with her and others (like a woman's right to kill another person just because it happens that that person had the misfortune of being in her body for nine months).

I did like some of the comments to her blog though, like this one:

48,589,993 Total Abortions since 1973. Now there is some serious killing of pink, brown and all other children. Done by their mothers.

and

I am so tired of angry women teaching young girls to be angry too.

I am so tired of angry women abandoning their children so they can have a man"s career.

I am so tired of angry women hiding the pain caused by abortion for political reasons.

I am so tired of angry women squashing competent men simply because they are men.

I am so tired of angry women trying to make women look, act, and think like men.

I am so tired of angry women telling me that I cannot serve my husband with pleasure.

I am so tired of angry women telling me that I cannot raise my children with joy.

I am so tired of angry women telling me that I must deny everything womanly in order to redeem my womanhood.

I am so tired of angry women who have been so hurt by a man in their life that they reject anything male, not realizing that the world is full of men who can exude compassion, kindness, power and strength

she's terribly tired.... I suggest she take a nap! While 'some' her points may be valid, the way she gets her thoughts across doesn't help her case much.

Fave comment so far:

I am sick of women like this who insult all men and expect to be treated with respect. I am especially angered by this comment: "So let's just remember our mothers--who bore us, protected us against our fathers and grandfathers and all the pink or brown men who wanted to rape us or kill us or starve us because we were girls."

Sorry sister, but my mother beat me day after day, she starved me, she tried to kill me. My dad saved me from her. My dad is the best person in the world. You couldn't hold a candle to him. My brothers are some of the best people in the world too. They treat me and other women with respect, they hug and kiss their children, they change diapers, they do dishes, they cry when they are sad. and guess what, they bleed if they are cut. They are humans, just like women.

Most of my bad experiences in life involve abusive women, not men. But I am educated enough to know not all women are like that.

See, I have learned something Jong has failed to learn: People are individuals, not labels.

Its women like Jong who do nothing for the feminist movement or womens' rights, she actually makes the situation worse...she is sexist.

and this one....tho I'm not fond of 'republinut' grrrrrrrrr

I'm tired of pink women blathering on as if they have no sense whatsoever. I am amazed at the drivel that passes for intelligent debate on this post. Doesn't anyone preview this stuff? Is this an endorsement for Sillary? Well here's one older woman (58) who has been waiting for 15 years to get back at her for her vicious "baking cookies" comment. Sillary is a Yale, white, raised-Republinut, elitist who wouldn't know real change if it slapped her in the face. If she is the candidate, I will change from a life-long Democrat to an Independant, realizing that the party has an ingrained death wish. And how stupid does this Jong thing we are to be led to vote for a candidate simply based on her genital equipment? She debases the women's movement with this sexist nonsense.
