So I just called NVC today, and they told me that our petition was at the embassy but that it had not yet been processed (its been there since December) does anyone know how long it usually takes until you get packet three? Should my fiancee call the embassy to find out about his interview date?

I think it depends on your embassy - if you check in the regional forums someone may have more info there :) It can't hurt to call though and find out if anyone at the embassy or DOS can help you :)

It normally does not take too long. If it has been there since December I would suggest e-mailing or calling the embassy to see if they have finished processing it. In some cases the embassy will let the beneficiary go and pick up the packets rather than mailing them out.
