Ever since my SO and I decided that we couldn't live without each other, I've been stressed about the paperwork and red tape involved in the immigration process...but since we wanted to do it the right way, here we are, traversing the murky waters of USCIS...

But thank goodness I found this site...everyone here has been great, and their advice has been instrumental in my peace of mind.

My SO lives in Devon and I live Orlando (yes, very lucky, Disney World practically in my backyard); we met online. Since we met, we have only had five days total that we have not talked to each other...I can't imagine living without him...

I hope to get to know some of you, and hope to be able to help others in the future as much as I am being helped by others on this site!!!

1/28/08 - Sent I-129F to VSC

5/13/08 - Visa in hand!!!

7/7/08 - POE

7/11/08 - legal wedding

7/20/08 - AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago Lockbox

11/18/08 - AOS approved!!!

11/25/08 - Received welcome letter...and Green Card!!!

12/21/08 - ceremonial wedding

10/9/10 - Sent I-751 and started the fresh hell that is ROC

10/14/10 - NOA1 for ROC

10/29/10 - received appointment for Biometrics

11/22/10 - Biometrics appointment

Currently: Living blissfully with my Essex lad...

10/16/06 to 1/15/07 He visits for a second time

04/04/07 We get engaged!

05/29/07 K1 Application arrived at CSC

07/21/07 to 9/15/07 He visits for a third time

09/19/07 APPROVAL from CSC

11/16/07 NVC received petition

Petition is put under Administrative Processing

12/28/07 AP DONE! YAY! Off to the Consulate!

01/02/08 Consulate received and packet 3 sent

01/04/08 My honey gets packet 3

01/09/08 Medical Appointment *PASSED*

01/09/08 Packet 3 Returned

01/23/08 8:30 AM INTERVIEW DATE!!!!!!!!!

01/23/08 Placed BACK on Administrative Processing (221g)

02/01/08 WE WERE APPROVED!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!

02/06/08 VISA arrives!!!!!!!

04/01/08 My honey arrives in the US!

WEDDING DATE: 04/27/08!

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

22 Jun 05 - We met in a tiny bar in Williamsburg, Va. (spent all summer together)

27 May 06 - Sasha comes back for a 2nd glorious summer (spent 8 months apart)

01 Jan 07 - Jason travels to Moscow for 2 weeks with Sasha

27 May 07 - Jason again travels to Moscow for 2 weeks of perfection

14 July 07 - I-129F and all related documents sent to VSC

16 July 07 - I-129F delivered to VSC and signed for by P. Novak

20 July 07 - NOA1 issued / receipt number assigned

27 Sep 07 - Jason travels to Moscow to be with Sasha for 2 weeks

28 Nov 07 - NOA2 issued...TOUCHED!...then...APPROVED!!!

26 Dec 07 - Jason visits Sasha in Russia for the 4th and final time of 2007 :)

07/02/05 - The day we met on LiveJournal on a gamer community

03/11/06 - Started dating "officially" online, but we'd pretty much been together for 3 months unofficially.

06/26/06 - I flew to Orlando, FL to meet him for the first time for 6 days!

12/01/06 - He flew to London, UK and we spent Christmas/New Years together! A whole 6 weeks!

01/14/07 - I flew back with him to Orlando, FL for 3 weeks.

05/12/07 - Another visit from me in Orlando, FL for 2 weeks!

09/13/07 - And ANOTHER one, haha!

12/26/07 - Andres flies out to see me in London for 2 weeks!
