[size=4]Hi everybody

I recived NOA, stating my I-485 was treansfered to CSC on 17th December 2008 but didn't hear from California since than. Is it normal? Does anyone is in the same situation or has been approved without getting notice that California recived and started processing your application? Just afraid my papers were lost or sth? How long should I wait before I contact 1-800 number (like they would tell me anything helpfull.. :help: ). Just freaking out that my application is lost and hasn't been recived by California.. :unsure:

gratufull for any response or links..

ps. This forum rocks :star: I wish I found it earlier..

everybody have a great day

I assume you meant Dec 17, 2007?

But yes - you likely won't hear anything from them until your case has been adjudicated.

Yes I do mean 2007, sorry :yes:

This is normal, you will not see or hear anything until they start looking at the petition, and even then you will not get anything until they approve or decide an interview is required. They will only then send you notice that "Card Production is Ordered" or That they sent petition back to NBC who will then send it to your field office for interview.

That is what excakly my online update says: "On December 15, 2007, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action." (which I recived)... "Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.."

As I understand, some peope did recived e-mail update that their case was recived by CSC shorly after it was shipped, that is why I am worried that mine may be lost..

Ofcourse probably I am over reacting..am I...

Consider this the service centers are backlogged, so may take some time to update the online system "touch" it when they receive it.

I think it is normal. Ours was transferred on January 2nd and I don't really expect to hear anything from them until May/June since they are taking 6 months to get to the papers. Hopefully it won't take until June but that is the date I am going to wait until before looking into anything!

Yep, we just need to be patient! ;) The centers have a lot of cases before ours that they still have to get to and are probably working on right now...

You can't base things on what their email system does/doesn't do. There's hardly ever a rhyme or reason to it. I've heard of people getting approval emails on their petitions 6 or more months after the fact...!

You need to go online at USCIS site and open an online account so you can check your case status daily if you wish, otherwise they will not send you any notices by mail until they send the GC in mail or notice stating they are ordering the production of your GC and welcome to USA. If you have already created online case status account at USCIS website then be patient. Usually within 30-60 days of transfer you stand a good chance of getting your GC approved without an interview. :thumbs:
