Hi all:

How long does the fingerprint remain valid?? 12, 15 or 18 months??? My wife's has been 17 months and INS says it has expired and she needs to do another fingerprint. So is it valid for 15 months??

Also my wife was already interviewed for her AOS and after that they found out that the finger print has expired. When we submit this fingerprint, does anybody know how long it takes for them to approve the application, because this is the only thing they are waiting for???

Also when we get the approval letter, can we go to local INS office with that letter to get her passport stamped and travel with that, because she needs to travel overseas as soon as the application is approved and I can bring the green card to her later when I join her overseas.

Any info on these issues will be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Fingerprints are valid for 12 months.

It should only take a couple of weeks for final review once those are done for approval.

You can try to go to the office with the approval letter. It really depends on the officer you see whether they will give the stamp or not, you will have to make a infopass for that. Some officers are asshol3s and will tell you to wait for the GC.

I 130 & I129F (K3) and AOS info in timeline
