Reading this thread reminds me why I moved to Florida. I love the heat and my husband doesn't understand why I get cold so quickly - saying I shouldn't because I'm from NY. I tell him he shouldn't always be so hot since he's from Brazil (he's from a large city - almost 2 million) but still surrounded by the Amazon rainforest.

So we sleep with the AC and/or fan on, and then me under the comforter...

Thaty sounds like me.A/C makes me sneeze.I much rather have a fan. When I went to Panama last year,my fiance had the A/C full blast in the truck just for me and I told him to shut it off and open a window instead.

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well, they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit, nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !

Gold Bond is good for chapped skin.Like my hands right now because I hate wearing gloves.

That's another thing, my husband won't wash the dishes because the water chaps his hands and it "hurts". He better start doing the dishes come summer time or he won't ever hear the end of it.

It's "kinda" cute now but it won't be in a few months if he keeps it up. :D

Aingell,

Nebraska is pretty chilly, better bundle up big time during the winter months because 75º is pretty warm over here.

You should see my face when the first time I saw snow. My husband has a niece in Montgemary Creek and we went to visit her last December. It snowed overnight and when my husband woke up and look out, he said "Mel, you should come and see outside!" I got out from bed and the first thing I said was "WOW! I need to go out and play (it was 7 in the morning!!!).

So I got up, put on my jacket, gloves and boot and ran outside. Husband just look at me and shook his head! Well, I come from a country with the average of 28-30 degree celcius all year round!!! I like cold weather and I have never been to a place where it rained 24 hours (hubby live in Portland, OR).

Check out the pic below, I had so much fun that morning!

My wife is from the southernmost part of China. It's a tropical climate with temperatures in the 90's 6 months out of the year. Everyone has air conditioning, but no one has heat. Moving to Minnesota was quite a shock to her. We've had 16 days since January 1 with a temperature below 0 degrees F and 3 days where the high temperature was below 0 degrees F. Actually, she now feels quite happy that she's here in Minnesota. Southern China has been having one of its coldest winters ever. As no one has heating for their homes, the inside temperatures are in the 40's and 50's there. Her relatives are freezing, but she's comfortable because we heat our homes here.

As for the dry itchy skin, my wife swears by Gold Bond medicated lotion.

Texas summertime is mean when you're outside. But honestly it's cooler than the summers in Canada. Everybody in Houston has air conditioning. While back in Western Canada, it's very rare to have A/C. So when it's 85° in BC, it's 85 in your car, in your house, at your job etc. Not too bad during the daytime, but hard to sleep at night.

Strange thing is my wife was born in Texas. Lived either in TX or else in Florida, Georgia, or Louisiana.....yet she can't stand the heat and humidity.
