Hello all,

I am a bit confused as to what happens at this point in the process. My I130 was approved on 1-09-08 as well as my I129F. I assume that the I130 will void the I129F since the I130 is the better visa.

Next I need to send my Affadavit of Support, past 3 years IRS Transcripts, letter from my employer and finally the last 4 paycheck stubs. Is that correct? Do I need to wait for the NVS to send the letter to me or should I send it asap? Also is there a fee for this? IF so how much?

Next I believe they send all I130 Paperwork and Affadavit to the US Embassy in Amman. They will then send a Packet to my husband with interview date and the Medical and Biometrics instructions. I need to send all copies of the I130 I sent to the CSC as well as approval letters to my husband to take to his interview.

Am I on track so far?

Finally does anyone know how much the medical exam will cost there and also the biometrics? Also how much will he need to give them at the embassy for the VISA itself and Aramex fee to have it mailed?

I am just trying to get a basic idea of how much money we will need to get all of the paperwork done.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! I am so thankful for my VJ Family!! :D

Thanks!

I'm trying to get a good idea about the amount of money we're going to need too. We still haven't gotten our packet from the embassy. They told us if we still haven't received it my February 6 that we can arrange for a duplicate one. I did find some info on the Embassy website about the medical. http://www.usembassy-amman.org.jo/cons/vaccin.html If nothing else...at least it's a list of hospitals who do the exam in Jordan..right?

Hi (F)

Where is your I-130 and I-129F now? According to my NOA2's it states that I-130 remains in U.S. and I-129F was sent to NVC in which they would be sending it to consulate country where we were married. The reason for this is bc the K-3 (129F) visa route would be pursued.. K-3 interview completed.. non-immigrant visa issued.. the SO could come to USA while awaiting to complete I-130 petition and get immigrant visa (10 yr visa). If your I-130 remained at U.S. svc center and you want to change your k-3 route then I believe you need to notify them and (possibly) pay a fee. You would then be pursuing IR1/CR1.. check out this forum

I wish you both the best.. with no more delays.

This thread was originally posted in the US Citizenship forum. In order to get to US Citizenship, the alien will first need a visa, then LPR status, then spend approximately three years of time in the US with LPR status while married to a US Citizen. Probably removal of conditions will be in there sometime, too.

This thread probably belongs in either the K-3 or IR-1/CR-1 board. It's not clear to me which, though. But in either case, it's too early to be talking much about citizenship.

They've changed some of the procedures since we went through the process, so I'm not sure what happens when both the I-129F and I-130 are simultaneously approved. It used to be that both petitions would work their way through the system and toward the consulate. The I-130 takes a lot longer to get through the NVC than the I-129F. If the approved I-130 package arrives at the consulate before the I-129F, then you'll have to interview for an immigrant visa (IR-1 or CR-1, depending on how old the marriage is). But if the I-129F gets to the consulate first, you're still eligible for the K-3. The immigrant visa offers much less hassle and expense once you enter the US, since there's no adjustment of status, and you have Green Card status from the day you enter the US. But I'm not sure if they're still automatically sending the I-130s on through the NVC to the consulate these days.

My Notice said his I130 was approved and my petition indicated my spouse is in the US now. He isn't...still in Jordan. I called the CSC and notified them of the error on the I797. The CSR took all my information and told me all my paperwork including the I130 was forwarded to the Nat'l Visa Center. She said when they enter my case as received there that they will correct my I130 stating he is out of US. She said the I130 will void the I129F automatically and he will receive information from Amman with interview and that he will enter as a Resident not on the K3.

She said I will probably receive a packet for my Affadavit of Support within 2 weeks. She also said it could take 90 days before the paperwork is forwarded to the US Embasy in Amman. I hope he does come with the I130---this will save me $1300 right?

Hello AhmadGwen4evr,

You guys are doing a very great job by sharing your experiences for newbies like me...Well im new on here and i some helps or informations from you.

My wet my wife on yahoo chat 2 years ago, she came to me this year and we got married, well after reading and following all the instructions on the official website and also from visajourney.com. We went ahead by filing the I-130 petition. Now my questions are would i be able to apply for a non-immigrate visa after the I-130 is been approved?

Kindly, explain to me how either of the following works and can help make it fast and like how soon can each be?;

1) K-3 petition

2) I-130

3) IRC
