hi all,

im setting of to be with my SO forever in 2 hours, the journey is long awaited. visa in hand...dog in crate...POE - newark...sh**ing a brick...over weight with baggage...

it has been hard, real hard...i cant put into words what we have both been going through over these past 7 months, but soon it will be at an end and we will be together. :luv:

i wish everyone sucess in their journeys...speedy results and a life of happiness. (L)

thank god for technology!

nov 04 : we met online

march 07 : we went 'public'

04/07 : Dans first visit

08/06/07 : Vermont received our paperwork

06/07 : Dans second visit

07/07 : i received my police check back from Scotland yard and local police

09/07 : Dans third visit (he brought two suitcases, one was big enough for me to sneak into)

19/10/07 : dog in for rabies injection

02/11/07 : the first part of our application was approved (147 days)

05/11/07 : Touched

09/11/07 : Dan received approved letter from Vermont (original sent to lawyer)

15/11/07 : petition moves to London

22/11/07 : packet 3 received and posted back

05/12/07 : notice of interview date

18/12/07 : medical at 1510

19/12/07 : INTERVIEW

19/12/07 : APPROVED!

01/02/07 : waiting to receive visa

01/04/08 : still waiting for visa and our lawyer still has no idea i was interviewed!!

01/09/08 : visa arrived

01/11/08 : removal guys collected my stuff

01/14/08 : Landed in Newark

03/09/08 : MARRIED MY YANK!!

03/24/08 : applied for SSN

03/29/08 : recieved SSN (work authorisation with DHS approval)

01/14/09 : been in the USA one year.

NOA 1: 09/05/2007

NOA 2: 02/19/2008

NVC case number assigned: 03/04/2008

Case complete at NVC: 05/12/2008

Case sent to Consulate: 05/28/2008

Consulate received: 06/03/2008

Interview & Approval: 07/07/2008

Passport with Visa received: 07/11/2008

POE San Francisco: 09/15/2008

Gratzies!!! I wish all I was worried about was overweight luggage!! :lol:

Let us know how it goes - I am already worrying myself into a stupor and my case hasn't even left CSC to go to NVC yet!!!

I was absolutely worried sick about my luggage being overweight and even got various people to pick it up and tell me what they thought. :lol: In the end NONE of it was overweight, how's that for being paranoid, huh?

I had five pieces of luggage, one 12 year old and two cats to contend with AND it all went so smoothly I still think "really?" all the time.

Wow - that is pretty impressive!! How did you manage all the kitties?! Must have cost you a small fortune?! Did you pay extra for the extra cases? And how did the kitties fare?! My new stress is the heat embargo... :/
