We raised goats when I was young. I had my own goat, Strawberry, and I helped her deliver her first kid. I named him Albert. We ate Albert about 9 months later, but I don't think I took of his meat. :(

Cow. Cleopatra. Her calf, Arrow. Daddy swore if we named it we'd never eat it. Must have fallen on hard times because Arrow disappeared one day and the next week there was lots of beef in the freezer. Still won't eat veal to this day.

Probably didn't help that my brother "mooed" every time I ate beef. I was a vegetarian for YEARS.

:P Well, my two older brothers were in FFA, and they raised a few steer from bottle fed calves and we ended up eating them. My brother tried raising a sheep once. The lady he bought it from bottle fed him out of empty Heineken bottles, so that became his name, or Heini. He cried a lot ...and we eventually ate him too. :)

Love pretty much all veggies except for spinach, okra, and eggplant. There are a number of veggies that I love but can't eat much anymore because they interfere with my blood thinners. :(

The best veg were from my grandparents' garden, who swear by adding a good dose of well-rotted manure every spring as fertilizer.

Oh and I got hooked on breadfruit in St Lucia, not sure if it is a veggie but man I loved it and I can't get it here!

What are vegetables?

Someone should start a favorite and least favorite dead animal to eat thread. I love eating dead animals myself, baby lamb being at the top of my list.

Doesn't that look delicious?

Veal stuffed lamb is my favorite.

I like a lot of different types of vegetables but...

Absolute favourites: Parsnips, onions and sweetcorn/corn on the cob.

Dislikes: Not a great fan of brocilli or mushrooms but no real "dislike".
