I've been waiting for a long long time to finally see my favourite band in concert. They announced a few dates at smaller venues this May and guess who just can't get any ###### tickets at ticketmaster.com???

I am seriously bummed out by this. I know it's not the end of the world and blahblahblah but what really pisses me off is that there are already a gazillion tickets on sale on Ebay for this concert and they're selling for over $500.

I've been waiting and was online at the exact time the tickets went on sale today at noon. I actually saw the text change from "On Sale, Saturday at 12PM CDT" to "Find Tickets Now".

And... NOTHING.

This band means so much to the both of us. We actually started talking in the official chatroom on their website at toolband.com.

I'm gonna go grow up and move on with my life now but thanks for hearing me out. :crying::crying::crying:

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that totally stinks Swirly. :( :( :( You know everyone's gonna ask...what band? :) Just curious. I know what you mean about the EXACT time...when the Eagles went on sale(love the Eagles) I was doing overtime at work on a Saturday..8 hr shift..I told my boss that I would do it if I could run home about quarter to 12 and get tickets..he agreed. :) (I'm only 3 miles or so from where I used to work) I got them, but very nearly! not..we were way in the 2nd row from the back. So sorry you didn't get your tickets...maybe you will find another way... I hope so!!!! M.

I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope to get tickets for their next tour.

And a local radio station is giving away tickets but I won't get my hopes up. :hehe:

Call them, tell them your story(it would probably be the only one of it's kind in your neck of the woods!) and see what they could do to get you a couple! never hurts to try..I'd do it! :lol: They might want you to do something crazy for them, but it could just work!!! :lol: M.

(by your story I mean..you met on Tool's site..you immigrated because of it..etc etc...you never know!Itrcan't hurt mentioning that you listen to that station often either! ;) )

I just about unloaded the 12 guage on ticketmaster yesterday.. our tix were to go on sale at 10am and they just weaseled around for about a half hour before we could get in. What burns me about these tickets now is that if you don't join a fan club or get on some kind of presale list, you can't get anything like a decent ticket! It was totally worth the extra bucks for the Stones (i was aaaaalmost within touching range ;) ) but for the show we bought yesterday? hmmm. I can't even name them for the embarassment, but the DAH is all KICKed up, if you catch my drift.

I LOVE Michelle's idea---####### it up to the media, the band etc. Everyone loves a good story, and this one is GREAT!

PS swirly---what about an overnight trip to see them out of town? That could be fun!

craigslist.com is another option. Some people ask for big $$$, but now and then you find some decent prices

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
