Hi, I'm a student on F-1 visa which grants me 5 years to finish school here. I have SSN because i wanted to work on campus, but i havn't gotten my driver's license yet. I have a boyfriend of 4 years and we're thinking about getting married maybe this year. My boyfriend is a u.s citizen. I heard that we'd have to file for I-130 and I-485 after we get married. Is there anything else that we'll need to do? And how long does it usually take-? I heard that it could take more than 2 years. But anyways....if anyone has done this before, please share your experience with me. I'm kinda clueless here... And do we have to live together in order to have those papers approved? Because i'm living on campus and he lives about 3 hours away. If anyone knows what i should do, please let me know...thank you very much-!
