RFE for medical

I have posted a few times already on this issue, but I still feel like I need more advice.

We received an RFE for the AOS asking for the I693 medical form. We sent in just the supplement because his medical was done within a year for his K1 visa, so we were told we did not need it.

On the RFE it states that insufficient response is grounds for a denial.... does that mean that if I send a letter stating that we already sent it in that might be grounds for a denial? Should we just go ahead and repeat the medical so as not risk this?

Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

No I think it just means that if you do not send it on time or send what they want then it is grounds for denial. You don't need to have the medical again either, you can just find an approved surgeon who can transfer the items over to the right sheet.

It sounds like they are asking for a new physical and that doesn't make much sense because it is under a year since the first one. Maybe you should do an infopass.

He just sent in the supplement and I have heard some people send this in and it works and others don't. If you have copies of the form you can go to an approved doctor and get the information transfered over to the right forms.

We don't have a copy of the medical he did for the K1- the doc put it in a sealed envelope for the US consulate. But we have his test results for HIV, syphillis, chest x-ray and vaccination record. We are going to go to a civil surgeon and hopefully get him to transfer the info onto a I-693.

I looked into getting an infopass... I don't think they do them for this type of question! These were the options....

Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

nessa had the same deal - a rfe for the medical even though she was under 1 year on a k-1. my guess is they lost the paperwork she turned in at the poe. we decided not to bicker with uscis and had another medical done. it's been back in their hands since mid aug now.
