I need to print the emails from my boyfriend and the chat logs as part of the proof for a bonafide relationship when I mail the I-129F. I have over 400 emails from my boyfriend, and very lengthy chat logs. Must I print everrrrrrrything? Help!

I thought about putting everything together into a binder with dividers with different subject so that it may become easier for the USCIS to view them. Will this be fine? Anyone has a better solution?

Thank you all!!

Respect my AUTHORITEH!

Print off a few for each month. Same with chats. Print off some for each month. I printed off some from the beginning of the month, some from the middle and some from the end. I probably wouldn't need to do that much, but I would rather have more than not enough. They don't have to be the whole chat too.

I never sent a call record or even one single e-mail. Approved without issue. They are all secondary evidence. Personally, I would not sweat it. The real proof is in the travel tickets, passport stamps, etc. The evidence you have really physically met.

I don't think you need to send USCIS emails or chats yet. They just need proof of your meeting each other within the last 2 years. Maybe, there are new requirements now. You do need those later for your interview.

You dont need every email, or chat ever written. You can take a sample of these, space them out so they cover a wide timeline.

if you use MSN for chat, and have it save the message history to your hard drive, you can export these to excel, and filter out the days you dont want....it came in handy for me.

good luck

The only thing that USCIS is interested in is that you have met within the previous two years before filing the petition. Chat logs and emails are not needed, but dated pictures, boarding passes, passport stamps, flight itineraries...these are important, PRIMARY evidence. If it makes you feel better, send a page of chat logs for every 3-4 months or so, but they really are not needed until you go through the interview process.

Don't use a binder. They don't like it mailed that way. Look at the guides, it gives you instructions on how to mail and a checklist of things to include.

Hi Stars,

at this point, focus on

*evidence of having met within 2 years

*proof that you are both free to marry

From the K1 guide

1.Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. we had plenty of these at the time of filing - this is considered "primary evidence" and it's very important - the more, the better

2.Color Photo's of you and your fiancé(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide two to five photo's. we submitted 6

3.The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!) We did not include any of these at the time of the original submission

Ongoing/ bonafide relationship is more of an embassy interview thing - if you want to submit some evidence of ongoing relationship with the original I-129f, it won't hurt... but save the big guns for the interview!

For the interview, I can guarantee you, if you plan on printing every complete chat log you ever had, you're likely to kill the Amazonas forest

Print only the first page, (or whatever page the time and date shows), edit with paint or similar to include 2 chats on one sheet of paper, use double side printing!. It will look more organized and the interviewer will appreciate not being buried in A4 white paper. we chatted every day, but I didn't print all the chats: I printed 1 chat for every week, so that it showed we communicated regularly. at 4 chats per page, the application looked much more organized. Use tabs, markers and highlighting pens to help easy access. Make foot notes when the evidence is not all that straight forward ("This email was sent to (me/my fiancé) by xxx, who is related to (me/ my fiancé) on the occasion of xxx")

Good Luck!

Saludos,

Caro

Thank you all!!

I sent screen copies of the files showing a continous relationship and her interview is the 7th of February. We did not get a RFE and things seemed to go smoothly. It has been suggested that you print a few to show conversations, but only a few. May MY LORD BLESS you on your journey.

I only sent 3 emails total and 2 cards we sent one another in the mail.

Emails and chat logs are secondary evidence at this stage of the process.

They are looking for proof of having physically met in the last two years, boarding passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, car rental receipts, etc. etc.

:) Best of luck!
