Hell all,

After arguying one more time wih our lawyer... a RFE was sent on December 20th and he says he never got it... now USCIS is telling us we have aproximately one more month to answer to it before the whole case is cancelled!

They are supposed to fax a copy of it again monday to my husband...

Anyways this time my husband called the lawyer and really got mad after paying $3,000, he could not even file the forms correctly and didn't even bother sending the evidences we had gathered for him... he just sent the marriage certificate... no need to tell you how upset we were yesterday when we found out AFTER my husband had managed to get an apointment usuing the InfoPass. Upset and so sad after being separatd for 9 months already...

Otherwise we would probably have not fond out and would have seen our case cancelled!

Anyways, the lawyer offered to end our agreement and said he would be willing to reimburse us... After a talk we decided to take up on his offer since he never did anything right anyways and we had to fight with him all along.

We sent him a hand signed fax to accept his offer. I hope he is going to honour it now and that we won't have to fight over it again.

We think we can handle things alone from here and in case we found a real good professional attorney who is a member of the AILA who already gave us some advise even though he was not paid for it.

Just needed to get my frustrations out and share this experience with you guys.

That is so horrible!! I'm sorry you are going through this. Seperation is so hard and then to have someone who is suppose to be a professional screw up like that, well I can't even begin to imagine how much more difficult it is. I'll send positive thoughts your way and hope the lawyer gets hit in the ####### with a lightening bolt.

Hi Lance,

Well if USCIS really does then where did ours go since december 20th?

We even checked the old address in case, but nothing nowhere.

So USCIS might be supposed to but didn't, what else is new...

Thanks for the positive thoughts JenAlex.

Wow that is crazy!

I guess this shows that people should never believe that a lawyer will do everything perfect (even if it is supposed to be his job)... that's crazy. It's good that he is willing to pay you back.

I hope you manage to put everything back in order in your case and that you will be together soon. Hang in there!

I am sorry to hear about your situation. I am currently using a lawyer that has done nothing but hurt my case. My husband would be here right now, but now we have to go the CR1 route. God is our determiner, but it is frustrating to pay that money for expertise, expedited service.

God bless you and the rest of your Journey!

Yes ditto , that is horrific - thank god your husband had the insight to go for the infopass - i can not imagine the results if he had not.

My best to you and sending your prayers and a speedy journey after this issue.

Cheers

Thank you all.

USCIS sent us another RFE on the 11th, let's see if we'll get it this time.

Though, we were told by e-mail as well this time, which we didn't last time.

So, I just wonder how long it will take that new RFE to reach us this time and if it will...

About the lawyer he said he'd pay us back, but since we accepted his offer we have not heard from him...

Good luck to you all.

I am sorry to hear that you are going through such an ordeal. Get your $3000 back and move on. You do not need a lawyer. I had one, and it was the biggest waste of money. If you have any questions regarding the K-3 procedures, simply post them. Good luck!
