Friends departed after purchasing 3 hip scarves. Now, I am totally goofing off in between cleaning and gardening, LOL!

Did you know "Gangs of New York" is on USA???

I think I better go out to clip back some more plants before I totally lose momentum!

Oops, I think I already have . . . .

I'm not surprised. I spent years as a housewife and as you're seeing, it's more than a full-time job. I had two sons of my own and in my second marriage we also had custody of my husband's twin boys who were 5 when we married. He also had another son that came some weekends who was 3. In that marriage all I seemed to have time for was cooking and real laundry. Since I enjoy yardwork and a lot of other activities, I found I just wasn't cut out for that many kids.

It's good that you're getting so much experience at parenting before you have your own kids. You won't have a lot of surprises when you start raising your own family.

Lets see....cleaned out my closet and then I went shopping. I went over to Ross and bought the most beautiful set of glasses. They set me back $130 but were worth it. They are crytal with gold trim and I got quite a few:

12 Low Ball

12 Hight Ball

12 All purpose goblets

12 Wine goblets

12 Liquor glasses

12 Arak cups

I'm so excited! Since I came back from my trip to Jordan last year, I try to go out twice per month and get a few things for our place. I've got a ton of stuff now  but still need alot more. My mom keeps yelling at me because she thinks I'm not gonna leave anything for people to buy at my Bridal Shower  Oh well

I will be off to the gym in a bit...

I'm almost done reading the chapters I had scheduled to read for today. Did you all know that it's illegal to advertise on tombstones in Roanoke Virginia!? This chapter is on advertising you might have guessed.

Abdel has been surfing the web and we've found some really cute furniture we want to buy:

www.primousse.com

He's also showing me some awesome houses in Fez for rent. I told him ok, lets go!

http://houseinfez.com/

These sites are good for decorating ideas if nothing else.

Ok, now to try to finish the last 8 pages of economics - False Advertising - Here I come!

Saturday night TV . . . BLAH!!!

I should put in that DVD of the Egyptian Movie I have been saving.

I am also going to burn a bunch of CDs tonight. I've had a long range project of copying all my music onto my laptop/offload it to an external hard drive/burn copies of everything for a backup/file with copies of the CD cases. I didn't know I had so many CDs of belly dancing and ME pop music,:lol::lol::lol::lol: . . . i think I have copied over 100 CDs so far!

Catherine.... DAY LILIES ??!!!! I absolutely (L) LOVE (L) them !!!! They have to be one of the best perennials for... well... just about any garden. LOL you can stick them in the ground and almost forget them, and they will put on a super show and multiply year after year. I think they out-perform almost anything else you can plant. I bought my house from a lady who was president of the local hemerocallis society, and she had just gone crazy with them in the garden. I have a LOT.... probably more than a hundred... so I get blooms from late April or early May until October. Even so, I'm always adding more ! I should have some in bloom soon.... I'll try to take some pics and post them.

Wow Kelly your list makes me feel so lazy ! :P You are Super Woman !

Well let's see what I did today.... a little gardening, cleaned the house, did some laundry, went to the grocery store, then made a pile of those little spinach pies while watching my Spurs take on the Kings. Heehee we blew out Sacramento by 32 points

By the way, I tinkered with the recipe that I had posted... I added a lot of za'tar (oregano.) While they were in the oven, Mahmoud was pacing around sniffing the air saying "I'm waiting them on fire." :P In Palestine, they call them "kraas" in the common dialect, but for some reason that word never sounds very appetizing to me.

I have a movie to watch tonight.... "Death in Gaza." It's kind of a unique film because the director was actually shot to death by an Israeli soldier during the filming. I'll post my "review" of it later... maybe we can have a thread about films.
